Daniel X, Game Over is the fourth book in the Daniel X series. It is about an alien boy named Daniel X who has the power to create things with his mind. When the number 1 alien on ‘The List’- a super high tech list of the most dangerous aliens on Earth- murders Daniel’s parents when he is only 3 he becomes an alien hunter. With the help of his friends and family that he creates with his mind he takes on Number 7 and 8 the tag team. Soon he finds Number 1 his parent’s murder may be involved in t...more
Okay, I love James Patterson, and his writing style is awesome and refreshing. But at this point the series is just driving me insane! First of all, I find Daniel, like, the most annoying character ever. He's cocky and smarmy and superior just way to powerful. It's like, here I am this hero protagonist Alien guy. Going up against thousands of all-powerful aliens! Oh horror! Except wait, I can manipulate matter into ANYTHING I want. Like, period. And I can transform myself. Oh, and I can read min...more
4th book in the Daniel X series… This is a very quick and entertaining read. J.P. books are fun to read and I’ll continue pick them up as they come out. I'm not sure of the 4 star rating, but I don't think it was deserving of 3 either...didn't see a way to give half stars. I do like the stories though...what's not to like about an alien hunter?
The author of this amazing book is James Patterson. The books name is Daniel X game over. This is one of the Daniel X books in the series. There are 5 books in the series. All these books are about a boy named Daniel who chases bad aliens for a living. I would say this is an action and adventure book. It was published in September 2011 by Young Arrow. This book will cost you $12-$15.

Overall, I feel that James Patterson has an amazing writing style. His ability to make the characters seem like they are talking to you is almost surreal. This experience is exemplified in this book, the fourth book in the Daniel X series. However, there are also many flaws that I feel ruin the experience of reading this book. The main problem is that I feel that the characters are all the same. Although Patterson tries to distinguish the characters by giving them unique characteristics, they al...more

Another entry into the Daniel X series. I wasn't sure if I was going to read this one, because I really lost interest in the series after the last two books, but I have a very hard time letting go of a series once I started it, so here we go. This one was definitely better than Demons and Druids, but I still had to fight to keep interested. I think there is a major flaw in the series and that is the fact that there is really only one character. All of the other characters who transfer from one b...more
This is the fourth book in the Daniel X series and probably the best one since the first, if not better. That said though this book took quite a while to get into and took me a while to read, which considering it is just over 200 pages long was quite surprising. But this book just did not get going until after about 100 pages or so, and up until that point it just dragged.

You think your jobs stinks? Try doing what Daniel X does. Without being paid.
Daniel X the Alien Hunter returns in the fourth book of the Daniel X book series. Being a teenager Alien Hunter isn't easy. Especially when you're hunting down aliens Number 8 and Number 7 on the The List of Outlaws on Terra Firma. What's Terra Firma? Earth. Daniel's adventure takes place in Tokyo, Japan in Game Over by James Patterson.

“‘Their virtual hunting games have become real hunting games?’”
I don’t really know what to say. I read the first three a few years ago, and maybe that’s just the reason this was not one of my favorite books. It was enjoyable, but I guess I just wasn’t as into it. I really can’t blame the book, because Daniel x is probably one of the first series I have read, but… well I really don’t know what to say. Fortunately I picked this book up at the library so I didn’t waste my money. I also picked the 4...more

In this installment of Daniel X, Daniel travels to Tokyo to take down Number 7 and Number 8. This means that these two are the 7th and 8th hardest villians on planet Earth. Number 7 and 8 (a married couple) are the owners of the most popular video game company and are planning to use that popularity to kill. They want to make a shooter game come to life and kill everyone. To get the information he wants, Daniel must...more

Another good installment in the Daniel X series, even though I didn't like it as much as the first books. My favorite was the first one and for me, the quality has been slowly decreasing. Not to say I didn't like it, because I did. Daniel was still awesome and funny. He actually talks to the readers, which is something I really like about this book.

Not life-changing, by any means, but a good bit better than the previous book. The series still seems to have no great goal other than to provide a series of episodes featuring Daniel, but many teens won't care. (Although I do! I want to see that we are progressing towards some sort of resolution eventually, although probably 15 books will be created before then!) Anyway, it is a fun enough diversion. This series may attract some fans of I Am Number Four, and Daniel X fans may also find that the...more

Even more evil aliens? And this time with even weirder superpowers? James Patterson does not disappoint. And neither does his co-author, Ned Rust. Daniel X is still a fun little action read, but it feels more like a poke than a punch: the books just go so fast. It usually only takes me a day or two to get through one. But it's refreshing, to a point. Keep up the good work.
I have read many books by James Patterson and I have enjoyed every single one of them, but this was my least favorite by far. I was just happy with the story line and I felt like I was reading the samething over again from all the other Daniel x books. I would like to think that James Patterson will have something even more amazing then this in the next book in the series. I won't give up on him for any reason.
When Daniel saw "somebody" in that building (I'm not trying to spoil anything and i'm trying to keep it from giving away anything) I was very, very, surprised!! I love this series as well as the Maximum Ride, and Witch and Wizard series, the writing styles are just amazing, and im glad this book and the books before this are real action packed. The way he builds up the suspense for the final book is amazing and JP hasn't let the series go down hill. Just book #2 the ending when he erased Judy's...more
Another great chapter in the Daniel X series! Can't wait for the next one! My love for this book is slightly bittersweet however since the ending is so sad! These books are beautifully written in a very realistic and cinematic tone. The author doesn't waste time on lengthy descriptions, and yet we can see everything Daniel sees so clearly. It's genius storytelling!
This is bound to have an appeal to young guys, especially those who have a need to overcome bullies! It should also appeal to those who enjoy video gaming. Dana is the sole character for girls to identify with.
