We have all been there right? Sent that text without re-reading what it said and then end up in a very embarrassing situation? Yip of course anyone with a smartphone has due to that pesky Autocorrect feature (Sweep Texting in the UK).

Damn You Autocorrect is a website that I am sure everyone has been. The text fails are simply hilarious and if you have been on it Where have you been hiding? Check it out trust me it totally worth it...more

Sometimes I need a quick mind cleanser between reading novels. I don't usually pick up books that are crafted out of websites or technology flaws, and though I read humor essays and memoirs, I don't usually pick up joke books. But this little gem kept me cracking up, literally LOLing with tears falling down my face, for the last couple of weeks. I don't always laugh when I think something is funny - sometimes it's just a nod or a smirk or a mental note to myself that, "hey, that was funny,"...more

Motherducker!!! Autocockblock sucks!

I recommend this to everyone except for children under the age of 15 (because of the foul words; never occurred to me that smart phones are also perv phones!) and people with heart diseases (they might accidentally have a heart attack because of too much laughing!) because all of us need a hearty laugh once in a while!

I think what made this book funny is the fact that it happened and is still happening to people with per...more

This is going to be a very short review. It was a very quick read and I really liked this book. I enjoyed the humour and the content was absolutely superb! I laughed out loud whilst reading this book and even my mom was wondering what was I laughing at.

I believe that most of us use smartphones and yes, I do have one too. Anyway, I don’t use autocorrect in my phone because I rarely (sometimes none) use English texting with friends and family. However, typo error is not an exception a...more

This and Cake Wrecks both get the prize for making me laugh until I literally cry. I can't go to this web site at work any more, because I turn into a hysterically guffawing mess. That said, having the book around to dip into is a guaranteed pick-me-up for anyone who loves typos (especially from a software that seems to have a dirty mind) and the wit it takes to overcome them.

My personal favorites (safe for work):

I think everyone gets to the stage where sometimes they just need to read something silly to clear out their brain, right? I was in that state when I was in Italy a few months ago, and ended up on damnyouautocorrect.com... So when I saw the book, I couldn't help but want to pick it up. Some of them I was familiar with already, and it is fairly mindless fun, but it is funny. From Freudian slips to surrealism, there's a whole world of badly autocorrected texts in here.

Ever sent a wrongly worded text? Made a complete fool of yourself sending an SMS? Well your not alone, read this book, it's hilarious.
Containing a collection of the funniest and most ridiculous ill-sent texts in the history of that wonderful spelling correcter known as auto-correct, this will have you snorting your drink out of your nose (so please stay away from anything fizzy!)
From the rude to the pure hilarious, this book contains them all, from weird exchanges with friends to cri...more

I'll keep this short and sweet ~ most of the texts shown in this book are worthy of a chuckle or two. Maybe about, say, 65%. Give or take. About 20% are so damn funny I cried - numerous times - while reading them. As in, read a hilarious one and cry, stop, read another one, cray again, stop, here we go again, stop. Yeah. I'm for real. Then the other 15% or so didn't even belong.
IMO the hilarious ones, that 20% or so make the book worth getting and reading alone. I have to be honest though ...more

OMF-IN G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has got to be one of the funniest feckin things I have rad in ass long... I know that my auto-correct sucks ass and I have wanted to kill it before but thank you Jesus I have never told my father I think I'm getting Dick instead of Sick... hahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahh

I think he would slap the hell outta me. This book is priceless... and is a "must read" and "must purchase" for anyone who wants to almost piss your pants laugh...more

Well this was a giggle from start to finish, short book about the text messages we try to write and how the autocorrect feature on smart phones can change them before you get the chance to decide not to send! Had me laughing out loud on more than one occassion and my family thought I had lost the plot! I have been on the end of this experience a few times and know how cringe worthy it can be, from here on it I am reading my messages back before hitting the send button!!!

I laughed out loud. A LOT. And I never meant to love this book.

Amazing. On one tiny screen (page) it's all there: the gaffe, the fallout, the recovery. A rare, victimless joke: because the banana peel is left out by a well-intentioned (or at least supposedly benign) piece of computer software. What's funny springs from chance and what happens is a shared humility. Humor at its profound and incisive best.

So funny! I can only think of one or two other books that made me laugh out loud as much as this one did. I love that it was just the texts, one or two per page and easy to read with no filler. That made it easy to breeze through whenever I had time and needed a laugh.

When I first got it, I had a neighbor borrow and finish it within a few hours because it was so hard to put down and as soon as I finished it, I pass...more

I almost enjoyed this as much as "Sh*T my dad says".

This book is comprised of text messages. The autocorrect spelling feature on the senders phone has made for some interesting messages. In order to enjoy this book, you shouldn't be put off by coarse language.

It was a very quick read and it has some laugh out loud moments.

Are you having a bad day? Pick up this book and be glad you didn't just accidentally use the 'c-word' when arranging an appointment with a female client or tell your mother you've been arrested all thanks to your smartphone's over aggressive (and apparently dirty-minded) spell checker. Great moments in texting schandefreude!

comedy of errorrs! I was laughing all through. This book couldn't have come at a better time, I'm hospitalized and I need something to bring the smile back. This book tickled me like hell. If you want a good laugh and don't mind some swear words then pick it up with no second thoughts!

This book was very funny if you have a iPhone or a ipod touch you will defiantly be able to connect to it this book is basically just a bunch of conversations that were ruined by autocorrect if you like this book there is also a website you can go to to read more funny fails.

I have spent literally hours on this website. I love to read these texts out loud to someone else. I can't tell you why they are more funny read out lout, only that they are. This is one of those reads that you buy and then you put it away to read a couple of pages at a time when you need a pick up.
Rachel
One of the funniest books I've ever "read." Read is in parentheses because this is a book of only screen shots from actual text messages. The autocorrecting is soooo funny that I was literally crying from laughter. If you need a some comic relief, this is the book.
Lennongirl
What I expect from a humour book is that it'll make me laugh. This one easily outdid itself. It had me in stitches, howling and crying. I actually had to stop reading it because people were giving me funny looks. So don't read this in public ;)

Way too hilarious, best laugh from a book I had in ages - 5 stars.
Amy
The title speaks for itself. Extremely funny and embarrassing for people. I think everyone needs to turn autocorrect off but then there wouldn't be hilarious books and websites to keep us entertained!

5 stars (because I have a stomach ache from laughing!)
Rachel
Laugh until you can't breath funny. So glad I don't text. Why, exactly, do phones have some of these words programmed into autocorrect? They aren't even words! Love the responses from the texter and textee, too. Sometimes funnier than the initial error.
Angie
I read this book in about an hour. It was quite funny, but much like Cake Wreck and Forgotten Bookmarks, I think it works better as a blog. I could easily read one a day; reading a few hundred was a bit much.
It's sort of like when you have a big plate of french fries. The first few are crispy and delicious, but then you reach the point of diminished returns and you finish them all just because you feel like you should. The first few texts I was laughing out loud, but toward the end, I...more

I read this book in about an hour. I had to bring it home from the library, because I was drawing too much attention to myself while reading it there. I was laughing so hard I was crying! If you need a total no-brainer, beach read- this is it!
Tamara
Full of can't-help-but-laugh awkward toilet humor intermixed with accidental wordplay.

My biggest criticism: I wanted it to have glossy, full-color pages. Silly, but true. The B&W paperback edition made everything seem dull and lifeless.

My sister bought me this for Christmas. I've genuinely NEVER laughed so much at a book before in my life. I'm so glad to learn they're taken from a website because I've finished the book and I'm going to need to get my fix from now on.
Tamara
My friend sent me this book and it is hysterical. Autocorrect has it's place but it is so funny how it can completely change a nice sentence into something comical. Definitely a book to read if you want a good laugh.
Claire
HYSTERICAL. It's a very quick read. I would recommend not reading it in public, though... unless you don't mind people looking at you like you're crazy because you're laughing so hard you can't breathe.
natasha.
Keep in mind that this is merely a tangible version of a popular website (damnyouautocorrect.com); Regardless of that, I laughed my ass off over this book. Great for a genuine "lol" in seconds.

This is one of the funniest books I have ever read I recommend this book to anyone. If you ever get the chance to read this book read it don't just think about reading it just read it.
