I recently watched her two instructional dvds from the library and this book covers all the techniques from the videos. It has been helpful to me to read over the techniques in more detail after watching them demonstrated. I like the author's somewhat prosaic style of writing. Her instructions are clear. The patterns in the book are lovely too.
This author has been doing an outstanding job of documenting the patterns of the Baltimore album quilts, producing patterns that an intermediate quilter can follow and accomplish, and providing a historical context for each design--she is unparalleled in this work and this book is no exception.
