Not the biggest selection of patterns I like, but this book gets 5 stars for the creative "how to make your own bag" section. It gives details on designing your own purses and how to make them off of simple sketches. I notice that a lot of pattern books don't want you to learn how to create your own patterns, but Bag Style kind of rocks that way!

This was a nice book to look through - the patterns were interesting and intriguing. I also loved how many pictures they had of each design, it was a great way to see all the dimensions of the bag and what it truly looked like. The book's layout was nice as well and I felt like it was easy to navigate through. I'd recommend this book.

Another book that tossed crocheting in just to entice people to buy it... really a sad showing of crocheted items!
Many of the bags pegged to be knitted were felted and could easily have been done with crochet work. Very disappointing... glad I borrowed it from the library rather than purchasing it or I'd have to ask for my money back!
For crocheters, I would say to pass this book by.

There were only 3 crochet patterns in the book, but all 3 were interesting and easy to work. One thing that surprised me was that a lot of the bags that could have easily been made from crochet, were instead for knitting. More experienced crocheters might be able to get ideas just from some of the pictures, even if the patterns are for knitting.

Made the bag on the cover. Came out really well, but was too lazy to cover buttons and sew them on. Giftee liked it. Will try some others eventually.
