The Fifth Estate provides organizations struggling to adopt social media a foundation to help create a strategy. It's well written and serves as a great introduction to social media and what it means for business. But what makes it distinct from other similar books are the points relevant to public relations professionals wanting to operate smartly in a world influenced by citizen journalists, bloggers and the digerati.

I have been an ambivalent participant, reluctantly establishing Twitter, Facebook and Linked In accounts.
