Bought the paperback in a bargain barrel. It was not a bargain. It is one of those books that start with several different strands that are presumably supposed to tie together at some stage. It made little sense from the start, but a couple of the 'strands' had me interested - Slave and the Eye - so I persevered. After around 1/4 of the book, I nearly threw it away, but as I happened to be away from home and it was the only book I had, I read on.
But now I'm home, I have a library to choose from,

Good story but its the start of a saga - and I'm not sure I want to continue.
Slave is taken over by a beserker rage when he fights. I'd rather he had the ability to choose - I feel he is a puppet and we don't quite know how much free will he actually has in the story. OK but not complusive reading.
