A startling and sober selection of photographs together with the author's insightful comments regarding the Holocaust and how the Christian community did or did not respond to it. The book also contains a short summary of Jewish persecution throughout history. Every so often, we should look at books like this. Lest we forget.

...the things I saw beggar description...the visual evidence and the verbal testimony of starvation, cruelty, and bestiality were so overpowering as to leave me a bit sick.
