The decently quiet nature and hopeful vibe of this volume makes the ending cliffhanger/bomb/plot-twist that much more heart-wrenching. There are small clues here and there and you do get an ominous feeling with the set-up to the reveal. In fact, you know something depressing is going to happen in that situation, but this definitely NOT what I was expecting. Confused? Read it and weep my friends. Read it and weep.
