My uncles were dairy farmers in Minnesota and Washington State. Another uncle worked at creamery and my father was a ice cream maker. I grew up believing that dairy was one of the building blocks of good nutrition and cow's milk was a very important food. In 2000, I was maybe forty pounds overweight and had quadruple bypass surgery. I asked my doctor if there was any way to get the plaque out of my arteries. Read this book and you will not feel the same way about milk products and dairy cows as you did before. The way dairy cows are treated in modern factory farms makes me sick. And, I'm convinced that milk is really bad for your health. (check out notmilk.com for more information)
