A year ago voluptuous heroine’s 5-day affair with Spanish hotel-owner Hero suddenly ended when he found out that she was still married. The stresses of her getting a divorce and her pregnancy ending at 6 months due to a still-birth affected her weight and demeanor so much that her friend forced her to take a vacation with her. The heroine was married to a cheating scumbag, she needed love, passion and understanding so she had an affair with the hero. When the hero found out she was married, he dumped her on her ass not knowing she was pregnant with his child. Six months later and they detected that the heroines baby had no heartbeat, it was born stillborn. Now the hero has made a reappearance in her life and he's finally finding out the truth.

A fast paced passionate emotional read. The wonderful heartfelt writing just brings the emotion alive so you can feel their pain and love. A great read.

Good writing style. Great characters--super alpha male, smart heroine who doesn't fall at his feet. Lots of angst. But I didn't feel a love connection--there was lust, remorse, anger, but I didn't get a sense of real love. A good read, but not very romantic.

A great twist in that the heroine, Lily, was married when she has a holiday affair with the hero, Santiago. He finds out about her husband and was not pleased. Upon her arrival back home her hubby asked for a divorce and from that a point on her life seemed to fall apart.

A year later Santiago and Lily meet each other again through mural friends and the truth about her situation and the reason why she has gone through the changes she has.

It was a heartbreaking story and while I do not condone i

Heroine's travails were compelling, and I found her fine enough, but the tyrannical hero's misogyny and pathological need to control everything around him made this book a wash for me. No amount of handsome makes up for being a cruel creep, IMO.

Though lacking much authentic Welsh blood, Kim Lawrence comes from English-Irish stock. She was born and brought up in North Wales. She returned there when she married, and her sons were both born on Anglesey, an island off the coast. Though not isolated, Anglesey is a little off the beaten track, but lively Dublin, which Kim loves, is only a short ferry ride away. Today they live on the farm her ...more
