Excellent resource that every parent should read! Even if you do not have a "trouble" child, this book gives excellent ideas of how to build good attitudes, behavior, and character in your children. It also helps you discover what kind of parent you are and what changes you can make in yourself to be a better parent!

It is a helpful resource for anyone working with children as well. The techniques and lessons can be applied to the children you work with.

This book is great so far but reminds me a lot of Love and Logic parenting books. This book is also geared more toward older kiddos. It's a page turner and makes everything seem so easy like Love and Logic does, but then when you go to practice it ... the patience may be lost, etc. Bottom line: Parenting is hard - there really is no quick (5 day) fix to discipline probs you may be having.

One I would challenge everyone to read. Its easy reading, the doings is what is hard! Following through, and sticking to your guns. I wish I had read this before I had my children.

There were some ideas I really liked in this book. But when he said there's no reason a child shouldn't be potty trained by age three, I no longer liked the book.
