Irish Dreams By Nora Roberts.
This is actually two books in one! The first, Irish Rebel invites us into the world of Brian Donnelly, Irishman, horse trainer of some repute, ready to go to work as head trainer in the stables of Royal Meadows. The much loved dynasty of Travis Grant, his Irish wife and family. Brian is from "common stock" as he describes himself and has a bit of a chip on his shoulder. He is surprised to discover that Paddy Cunnane, head trainer for many years, quite well known in t...more

I don't know how I hadn't read these stories before. I thought I had read all of the Nora Roberts short stories.
Irish Rebel is part of the Grant family series. In this book, Brian Donnelly is a brilliant horse trainer with a giant chip on his shoulder. He's just been hired by the famed Grant family to train their race horses. He falls into instant lust with their oldest daughter, Keeley, but assumes that she is a high society princess who spends her time in salons, not around horses. He discove...more

Irish Rebel:
Brain is a horse trainer who just got a job at the Travis Grant’s ranch. At first sight he is instantly attracted to his boss’s daughter, Keeley. He sees the attraction as a bad a thing because he believes she’s a princess and he a peasant. He believes the relationship would not only because of the class difference, but also because Brain never stays in one place for long. What also made him not want start a bond with her was that she is a virgin, which scared him even more than any...more

The two stories in this book are Irish Rebel and Sullivan's Woman.
Irish Rebel. This was a fairly typical romance book... girl doesn't care for boy then falls madly in love while boy fights his feelings. Pretty typical for a Nora Roberts short story actually. Brian comes from Ireland to America to train Keeley's family's racehorses and the two of them come together even though he doesn't think that he thinks that he is not in the same class as her. I liked Brians character throughout the entire s...more

This is actually two novels under one cover. The first, _Irish Rebel_, is a follow-up to _Irish Thoroughbred_, which being a horse-related romance I've already read. It's light and fluffy, but enjoyable.
_Sullivan's Woman_ really annoyed me. The h/h relationship begins when the hero, using all the skills of a violent, predatory aggressor, corners the heroine in the dark on a pier. She's intrigued and comes to his artist studio the next day. Hello? Run the other way, lady! Aggression and intimidat...more

I loved the first story as it was in part of the Grant family. I wasn't to thrilled with the second book because it was of different people altogether. While I get that they put them together because they were both Irish stories I didn't like it as much as I would have had there been another story to go along with the Grants.
In general I love Nora Robets and her book. Can't really complain about the stories. It was a good easy read while we had our October Storm in Pennsylvania.

I thought this book was ok. The first book Irish Rebel revolved around Keeley Grant the daughter of Travis and Adelia Grant from "Irish Thoroughbred". I enjoyed the romance and the way Keeley had her own Horse riding academy. I wasn't thrilled with the way she threw herself at Brian Donnelly the man her father hires to take the place of Uncle Paddy. I have to say I enjoyed " Irish Thoroughbred much better, but it was an ok book. Sorry I can't be of much more help.

I have read Irish Rebel part of this book and really enjoyed it. I may have enjoyed it more than Irish Throughbred. Irish Rebel started out like any other romance (the electricity in the air when they see each other), but I liked the course this took and how Brian handled most of the situations. Keely of course was strong and caring, but I liked the end when she talked about being grounded by her father. That was one of those scenes that shows Nora Roberts wit between characters. Just started Su...more
this was a follow up to Irish hearts and it holds 2 short story's...the first story had characters from hearts and was a cute and fun read, but the 2nt had new people and the only thing that was the same was he was Irish...I wanted more from the characters i new and loved. also it didn't flow as well as most of Nora's books :(

"Irish Rebel" She was practically royalty--the daughter of a rich, renowned horse-breeding dynasty. He was just a hardworking horse trainer. But Brian Donnelly was in America now, where even he might aspire to possess the breathtaking Keeley Grant. Her wealth and position didn't deter Brian...for it was the innocence Keeley offered him that beguiled the wild Irish rebel and threatened to corral his restless heart.

I really enjoyed getting to see the characters from "Irish Hearts" again, as well as seeing the kids all grown up. I liked how Keeley wasn't just a rich girl and how it took Brian a while to figure that out. I liked how once Keeley accepted the atrraction between them, Brian backed off because he didn't want to damage her purity, and finally how they protected each other. As for the second story, I thought it was odd that these characters weren't connected at all to the old characters, but Sulli...more
Now I can officially say that I have read Nora Roberts, and she's a pretty good authoress. I really enjoyed reading this book. Both stories were fantastic.
Irish Rebel
I really enjoyed the horse aspect of this story. Horses where my fancy when I was young and thought boys had cooties. Reading this story was very similar to 'skipping down memory lane'.
Sullivan's Woman

Okay, so I read a Nora Roberts novel. I had to see what the hype was about, and also, I needed some research on a simple concept: What sells? I actually discovered the opposite of my hypothesis with Roberts. My assumption was that she would have an engaging, fun-filled story, but the writing quality would be poor. In actuality, she's a very talented writer (no Salman Rushdie by any means, of course), but her stories are quite basic and even dry. Apart from the rare erotic scene, they're not even...more
The first part of this book was Irish Rebel. I loved it, but then again I'm partial to Nora. The characters came to life, like they jumped right off the page. The plot alone was juicy and the way it flowed together to create scenes that would make you feel like you were standing there witnessing it first hand is - just plainly stated - brilliancy! The second part was Sullivan's Woman and let me just say I was lusting after this man! Nora has amazing talent when it come to creating a sexy, mouthw...more
