OK I didn't add reviews to the last several books in this series because I was out of town (stuck in a snowstorm back east)& didn't get to my computer until today. This was another roll-on-the-floor-laughing-helplessly entry in the Stephanie Plum series. One of the few times in my life where I thougth to myself, "I could have written this same story and same characters myself, and it would have been much better." I was thoroughly entertained by this Stephanie Plum novel. It was fast paced and interesting, causing me to have difficulty putting it down. I enjoyed the humor in the book and found reading it to be a great experience.

I thought after taking a break with a few other books, I would be OK reading Stephanie Plum again. Wrong! Not a few pages in, Stephanie is once again inept and idiotic. She really annoyed me that after 40% through the book, I started skimming. I don't know if I want to continue reading this series anymore. The secondary characters are what have kept my interest but now even that is not enough to get me through Stephanie's stupidity.

Stephanie has to bring in Eddie DeChooch, a senior citizen who was caught smuggling cigarettes. How hard can it be to bring in a old man? Stephanie takes Lulu, an oversize ex-prostitute with her and Eddie escapes out the bathroom window. Eddie escapes time and time again. Eddie also has no trouble in shooting his gun. I read this as an unabridged audiobook and though the story was as amusing as ever the narrator slaughtered the story.

Eddie DeChooch as a baddie kind of annoyed me. The line of "I'm depressed" got really old coming from him. It was a stupid excuse as to why he didn't want to go to jail. I think I would have been happier if he just kept it at "Fuck off. I don't wanna go."
Bob being still in the picture was highly amusing. Though if I knew anyone in real life who let their dog behave like that, I would call the ASPCA. Human food is NOT dog food.

This book wasn't as good as her others. That being said, it still made me laugh out loud. This book was still an entertaining page turner that left me wanting more.
Stephanie kills a car again. Can't have a novel where Steph doesn't blow up a car or destroy it in some way (Thank goodness for the ole standby Buick but actually Steph didn't need it in this book since she Vinnie let her borrow a Harley!).

Once again I enoyed another Stephanie Plum novel. Lots of funny moments that had me smiling and just flat out laughing out loud. Mooner and Grandma Mazur dressed in outfits like a superhero is hilarious to imagine.
