I'm working on creating a booklist for my local public library. This book was one in consideration for this list.

This will not go on my list. It is the same problem with the other Berenstein Bears book I read, which doesn't bode well considering I have three others to look through. Basically, the Christian overtones are too strong, making it a book about being Christian than being well-mannered.

Also, this book was less about manners and more about good deeds. They could arguably be the same, but
Whole And
A good resource to encourage helping those in our community in need.
This one is included in the 3-in-1 The Berenstain Bears' Good Deed Scouts to the Rescue. It is super silly. Starting out on the search for a good deed to accomplish the scouts end up caring for Mrs. Grizzle's yard and are in turn paid by her magic tricks. That twist in the story was a little odd but perhaps will remind the reader of someone and bring a smile.

Thanks to Z. Typed on. Kindle Fire.
The Good deed scouts are at it again. This time they help a neighbor mow her grass.
