The Book of Investing Wisdom is a collection of 46 essays by prominent investment gurus - including billionaires Warren Buffet, Donald Trump and George Soros.

The essays are grouped into 8 sections, each dealing with a specific theme in investment such as market cycles, strategy and the attitude an investor should take when braving the waves of the stock market.

Warren Buffet opens the curtain with the first essay where he tells of the why and how analysis of a particular company should be done be

Ever wished that you could go to a financial school, where the professors would give you great tips on how to make sound investment decisions? That you could have a line-up of speakers of successful investors one after the other?

Well, this book is just that. It's a seminar, a class, a teaching program of sorts with 46 essays from the world's best and successful investors in the last century.

The intelligence, the wisdom, humility and humor of these investors is overwhelming. It's a book I have th

This was a great book. I was intentionally avoiding this book thinking that it would be difficult for me to understand at this stage. But the essays in this book were mostly very straightforward. The best thing is that they are all short essays. I am surprised that this book doesn't have as much following and ratings as I thought it should have because it completely deserves it.

My personal favorites among all the essays were the ones by Warren Buffet, Peter Lynch, John Moody, Adam Smith, George

The Book of Investing Wisdom gathers the all-stars of the investing world and has them impart their knowledge through a collection of articles on strategy, inspiration, and methodology. Unfortunately, the quality of the content varies wildly. Some include sage advice, while some others are – as one preface succinctly puts it – "not much different than numerology" (i.e. matching the market's performance to hemline and musical tastes). Very hit and miss.

Very interesting overview of different investment perspectives ranging from the pure horse sense approach to the almost esoteric analysis explained by the practitioners themselves.

I like to dabble for “a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds” as Ralph Waldo Emerson would remind us. Although I’m not sure how far dabbling will get you, I’ve enjoyed working on biographies, business books, newspaper stories, business articles, that all-consuming yet maddeningly elusive arena of fiction, and poetry.

And now my wife and I are Vermont farmers to boot, with a sugar bu
