One word for this book: Elementary.
I don't know much at all about weight training and muscle strengthening so I bought this book after I started going to the gym as part of my recovery from a car accident (moving away from regular physio therapy). What I like about this book is that it starts at the begining and explains different types of weight training, it has great pictures, shows the muscles that are being engages, explains pros and cons and also explains streching, diet and car...more

This book has really helped me with my strength training at the gym. As a newbie-- the equipment can be intimidating and I often worry I'm not using it right. This guide shows you how to use the machine and what your body looks like when you are doing it right AND when you are doing it wrong. AWESOME.
