Unlike most gardening books, I actually read this one cover-to-cover. The text was engaging and it inspired me to get out there and get gardening. Unfortunately, I don't live in the perfect area of the coastal Pacific Northwest that allows for year-round gardening without a greenhouse, so most of this didn't apply to me. However, I did learn some great things about organic weed-control and how to better manage my summer gardens.

I am committed to increasing my garden's yield, which is why I read this book. I learned a lot reading it, and since I live in the Vancouver area I found it helpful. I also found it to be pretty easy to understand, even as a relative beginner. Will my garden actually produce better if I apply the information I obtained? We'll have to wait until the fall to find out.
