Jordan Malone has spent what has felt like a lifetime in the Elite Ops. He has worked closely with his team, in particular Tehya Talamosi for the past six years. Tehya joined the Elite Ops due to her specialized communications skills. Ironically, her father, a white slaver is the enemy, having killed a good friend of Jordan’s and who tortured and killed Theya’s mother. She has worked as Jordan’s personal assistant among other things. Jordan’s SEALs training has taught him never make friends with...more

Once again Leigh delivers a great sexy thriller with characters you love from the other Elite Ops series. Jordan and Tehya finally FINALLY get their own story. Jordan is the BEST of the men in her series, and I loved the action packed story that of Engima or Teyha. You can also read Chapter one of this book in the download of "Engima".

Leigh or her editor either drink heavily when writing these novels or they don't understand the concept of time. Literally, Jordan told Teyha he's ached for her fo...more

Finally! Big boss's story. I love the fact that the whole team of badasses comes together for this one woman they've embraced. Its not overly lovey dovey, these are tough men, dead-men (as the book contantly says), and having them be mushy is just wrong. However, the suble hints, looks, and their persistence to keep Tehya safe is the perfect level of emotion. The problem with this book is all the inconsistencies though out are so bad, its frustrating. I mean, it gets as bad as calling people the...more

I've read mixed reviews for this book, but I have to say I wasn't disappointed at all. Parts of it were very slow-moving, especially for a Lora Leigh romantic suspense. Also, not to beat a dead horse, but this author definitely needs a new editor. There were typos and grammatical errors and even names were replaced at times.

All that being said, I loved Jordan and Teyha. Teyha was a great mix of toughness and vulnerability. She had the training and experience to take care of herself, and the fea...more

Ok. So here's the deal. I read a couple of LL's early books. Liked them enough to read more and then, well, I noticed some repetitious stuff and generally got turned off her books in a major way.

I am not a reader who likes to read a book that I know before hand I probably won't like. I actually only read this book b/c it was a reading group book that was sponsored by the book store. So I felt obligated even though I knew I probably wouldn't enjoy it.

I've been reading this book for what felt like...more

The sixth and, I think this is the last, of the Elite Ops military-romance series although Leigh does seem to be setting us up for a story between Beauregard and Journey.

The Story
Elite Ops has been disbanded and Tehya has put down roots. She bought a house and a business and she's trying to settle into the small community. Except for that prickling at her neck. She should run. If she wants to live. But, damn it, she's fed up with running. She's going to stay right here and face it. Until she's a...more

Completed the series of Elite Ops in 2 weeks. This is really good series overall, with some highs and lows.

#1 started the series off well. The book was well written, the suspense was there, the sex was hot! Continuing the series, the sex got really repetitive, and later you realise that you could even recite what the characters are going to say next.

#5 was really bad for me. I don't even pass that 'murder investigation' as murder investigation. The whole plot was really weak, and it was by far,...more

I just didn't know how to rate this book. And its getting to be that way with each LL book I read.

I enjoyed the story. Jordan Malone was the leader of the recently disbanded Elite Ops group one, and let me tell you he's been a sonofabitch in the previous EO books. So it was with relish I encountered his love story, after he's been so anti-settling down with his men. Luckily that didn't stop them, because he needed each one of them and their wives to solve the situation Tehya, his woman, and he f...more

While this can be read as a standalone, this is the sixth in Leigh's Elite Ops series and she's fond of mixing in characters and situations from past books - and since it's the last, there's a bit more of it. You don't need to know the specifics of them since she usually gives enough of a sketch that you get where the story is coming from, but there are a lot of relationships and situations that have been established by the time Live Wire takes place. Jordan's nephew Nathan/Noah is here too - he...more

I almost DNF this book.

The plot: Tehya is the daughter of a human trafficker. Jordan is an Elite Ops operative/leader. After the EO team disbands Jordan finally gives in to his lust for Tehya, but she is in love with him and leaves after their one night together to start her new life.

After nine months, Tehya's life is being threatened so Jordan pulls the team back together to save her.

First reason I'm only giving this book 2 stars: horrible, horrible typos and other grammatical errors all throu...more

Jordan Malone is the commander of the Elite Ops. He's hard, dangerous, hot as sin and believes love is nothing more than an illusion. Until Tehya came to his life with those haunted green eyes and made him question his beliefs and whether his soul was still his. One night in her arms and he knew he could not live without knowing she was happy and alive.
Tehya Talamosi, now Teylor Johnson is trying hard to live the life she's been building for herself and stop running and living scared. Knowing s...more

Elite Ops Book 6: Live Wire did not disappoint. Another tale of two people whose past and job get in the way of their coming together for romance and great sex.

The characters are well fleshed out, indisputable and engaging. Captain Jordan Malone has kept his distance from Tehya Tatamosi since allowing her to join their elite group. Having been used in the past by woman whom he prized, adding more to his repertoire was not going to happen. Although on the surface of this stern, stoic man lays co...more

So for those of you who follow this series we finally get to Jordan's book. I don't know about you but I've been waiting and waiting for Jordan to finally get his just desserts. lol You get to meet Tehya in the book Wild Card Nathan Malone,Jordan's nephews book. Her father was a evil man and Tehya has spent most of her life running from him or his associates. The time for Jordan's Elite Ops team has come to end and so everyone goes their separate ways. Tehya doesn't know what she's going to do E...more

I had so many conflicting thoughts about this book. Did I love it? Not as much as I wanted to. Jordan Malone has always been an interesting character since I first met him in Wild Card and I was looking forward to finally getting his and Tehya story. After all Jordan has been “hovering” and fantasizing about her for a very long time…so finally we get a peek into their lives.

And what happens??? We have this super alpha male, leader of the “pack”, strong and focused in his job but when it becomes...more

This was the book I was most looking forward to and I was so disappointed. My issues with the book are numerous. It is hard for me to believe that after 8 years of diligently trying to keep Tehya at bay, Jordan will just take her, then let her go. The story itself was good, but it seems that anytime there is a lull in the story, they end up in bed. For someone that doesn't want to be tied to her, he sure didn't mind it after a while. I had an issue with being told that we needed to buy the prolo...more

I've wanted to read this book since forever and it turned out to be more than I could ever expect!I loved Tehya's character. So determined, but willing to do anything to put her friends out of danger. She knew from the begining what she felt and sticked with it, no matter how hard Jordan tried to avert her. And Jordan...the epitome of male. Just a little bit annoyed that he was soooo stubborn and unwilling to admit what he felt until the end of the book, but nonetheless, I enjoyed t...more

For those who've followed the Elite Series from Lora Leigh you saw this one coming. It was very obvious in the previous books that Tehya was in love with Jordan and he was denying his feelings. Well that's easy for him to do since he believes love is an illussion.

As all Lora Leigh's books you have to expect some serious heat coming off the pages. But, they do not detract at all from the plot of the book. The surprise twist was amazing! Even knowing that she's notorious for it, it surprised me. T...more

I had to stop reading this one to read Heat Seekers first, then go back to this one. Lora Leigh has jumped onto my "must have/must keep" shelf with these guys.

Like Heat Seekers, LIVE WIRE is smokin' HAWT. Tehya and Jordan have spent six long cold years working together and ignoring each other, ignoring the tingles and prickles and sparks and yearnings. He was her boss, and she was his assistant. Even though everyone ELSE on the teams could see it plain as day...

When these two finally got togethe...more

The mystery was too easy, but at least there's one. Nothing like the more stellar works in the series, but it was at least marginally better than the last.

Whoever's doing the editing, please do your job next time. Among others, "as holes" instead of "assholes" and "showed" instead of "shoved"? Oh, c'mon. I usually don't pick up on these errors; so if even I noticed them, the problem was bad. And Sebastian became Beauregard without a by-you-leave, huh? And condense, condense. Did the author not...more

Like everyone else who've read the Elite ops, I waited and waited for Jordan's book. Jordan and Teyha have been plaging me since Wild Card (Elite Ops, Book 1). I was a little worried about this one becuase the "big guy" is always left to the end of a series and somehow his story is a let down. Case in point: Lion's Heat (Breeds). The story of Jonas Wyatt shold have been the best of the series. The guy was a complete ass (sexy though) and Leigh built him into what I thought was going to be an exp...more

Is this the end of the Elite Ops series?? It looks like everyone on the team is matched up. I was looking forward to Jordan's story, and even though it was somewhat predictable and the end was a little anti-climatic, I still loved Jordan and Teyha's story, they have a passion for one another that drives you to a cold shower from the pure heat of their sexual drive for each other. But now that we know who was really aligned with Sorrell and the truth to Teyha's entire life of running and hiding....more

I did really like this, but the errors were driving me nuts! Someone get Lora Leigh a new editor, STAT!!!! The typos were insane! Maybe it was just the e-book version, but it was really quite annoying. Some passages I had to read a few times to understand what it actually said.

That aside, loved it! Jordan is such a major Alpha male! So oblivious to how much he loved Tehya, and it just made it all the more beautiful when he finally realised it. Tehya was a great character too and the fact that th...more

Lora Leigh has obviously lost intrest in this series because the last two books were truly awful and the few before that not so good either. Wildcard and Killer Secrets were wonderful and I was so excited for the rest of the series and it has been a big disappointment. It was basically the same story over and over. Bringing all the other characters back in could have made for an awesome book, instead it all felt jilted and with bits and pieces just randomly thrown in. Plus the ending when she br...more

Jordan Malone has finally dismantled the Elite Ops operation that he has led for so long. He continues to deny his attraction to Teya Talamosi and she continues to feel an outsider due to her reviled father and brother but everything comes to a head when those tracking her find out where she has relocated. Lots of sensual scenes, cameos from the other operatives that have already had their stories told. A few inconsistencies (why wouldn't they know where Journey was working?, why is Teya so deva...more

Lora Leigh lives in the rolling hills of Kentucky, often found absorbing the ambience of this peaceful setting. She dreams in bright, vivid images of the characters intent on taking over her writing life, and fights a constant battle to put them on the hard drive of her computer before they can disappear as fast as they appeared. Lora’s family, and her writing life co-exist, if not in harmony, in...more

“Don't worry about hurting me, Jordan." She brushed back her hair again as she turned from him and headed for the bedroom. "It was too late for that a long time ago."
...
"I've heard the lecture," she informed him as she glared back at him. "I've heard you tell your men how love is an illusion, and how they need to watch their backs before that illusion bites him on the ass, so many times it sickens me. Unless you have something original to add to it, then I don't want to hear it again, if you don't mind."
...
"You're fooling yourself." He had to force the words past his lips. "You're letting lust and pleasure betray you. Tehya. It tricks you. When it fades, all you have left is either friendship or enmity. It's the enmity that worries me, the knowledge of all the little ways you can destroy one another with the knowledge you've gained. I don't want us to go that route. I don't want you to hate me."
...
"Who ruined you before I ever had a chance at your heart?”
