"Men should be kept barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen." There, Peggy grinned mischievously, no man would "warm up" to an answer like that. Especially not Adam Gale, the sexiest celebrity in the country - bound to be a chauvinist. Sure Adam looked like any woman's dream come true, but it was Peggy's interest in communications that had prompted her to enter Australia's ...more

Decent book, what I liked was that the heroine had principles and even when she fell for the hero she was not willing to let her education slid for him. The hero is famous and used to getting his way and the heroine is a breath of fresh air, she didn't want to win the date with him and he knows that, she also doesn't worship him or fall at his feet. I liked how he was willing to apologize for his mistakes. I am now curious to read Songs of a Wren in which we meet the Knights, who are mentioned ...more

It was just OK, nothing special. No chemistry, mediocre plot, one dimensional characters.

The reviews about this book are a little confusing. Maybe it contained more stories than just the one I read. The I read was about an intelligent young women who's in college studying media communications. She entered a game show hoping to win the second prize--a stereo. She won first prize by accident, a date with a gorgeous musician. He's arrogant and has a bad temper but they eventually fall for each other. I thought the guy was seriously a jerk, the story was really, really, really standard ...more

Peggy's aim to fail at winning a blind date with pop-star Adam backfires. Adam finds the answers to his question intrigue him and wants to know more about the spirited woman.

Just OK. Seems to just jump suddenly from first meeting to sex.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I first heard about this story from my high school seatmate who is into romance pocketbooks and eventually I got hooked too! But I never found the copy of this book up until last year. The story started as interesting, the heroine was smart and sassy. I didn't like the Hero though. He was a jerk and although he did come after the heroine in the end, it seemed like a (late) afterthought.

I like the story 3.5 but I went up because I liked the heroine. She did not become steam rolled into forgetting who or what she wanted
