As a man in my 40s and never having been that flexible to begin with, yoga might be the direction for me to go to find a bit of that physical flexibility. This book is tremendously detailed, probably far more so than many people need, but for those who want the detail of history and differences between the major branches of yoga plus details of the different things yoga might do for your health.

Every chapter, every section, has references of areas to pursue and other books/websites to check out

Not bad and certainly will appeal to many, but not what I was looking for. Lots of information about various styles of yoga and how to contact experts/organizations. I am more interested in doing and less in talking about history.
