Absolutely a great audiobook Delightful for adults and children. It was recommended to me by the librarian. I had not heard of the series, but USA Today rates it as "The best family entertainment in years". The voices are tremendous, it is funny and clever.

Typical dopey Hank being suckered by Pete and not listening to Drover story. Slim's part saying Loper always wanted a parrot was my favorite.

That parrot was very clever, and was constantly telling Hank different things to get him into trouble! And of course, Hank didn't listen to Pete or Drover who were telling him that it was the parrot talking, and not the ranch owners or Slim.

This was a pretty fun Hank. I enjoyed the dynamics of Sally May and Hank's relationship. Also enjoyed the "Because Thy Lovingkindness" song.
