Catherine Campbell, in God Knows Your Name, tells six in-depth stories from a mix of the Old and New Testament and correlates them to six present-day life stories, showing us how relevant God's word is for us today. They are based around the following six themes:

Catherine's rich story telling brings the stories from the Bible to life through her rendition of Biblical fiction. The stories themselves are real, but she adds the fictional aspec...more

This is by far one of the most personal, relevant and heartwarming books in my personal library. It is a treasure asking to be revisited over and over and one that would be an ideal gift for any special person in your life. We all need to be reminded that God sees us an individuals and cares about every detail of our life. The book read as if Catherine were in my living room having a cup of tea and telling of each story as if she was there in person. Catherine also shares a very personal aspect...more

In just six little chapters, Catherine Campbell breaks our hearts for all those who are hurting, all those who have been hurt. We've all been there. We can all connect with one of her stories. We so want acceptance. All of us have at one time felt Nameless, or Hopeless, or Worthless, Helpless, Powerless, or Loveless. And God heals all that and accepts us. He knows our names.

Each chapter includes an applicable Bible story about a real Bible character, fictionalized to make that person more real t...more

This book is so awesome...it will warm your heart. It brings to life many Bible stories. Once I started I could not put it down.
Catherine Campbell has done such a wonderful job writing these stories, we go back in time, and then have it reinforced with a more recent time.
One example would be the unclean woman found in Marks Gospel, chapter 5:21-32....and then we find a story told by a Missionary about Bobula living in Papua New Guinea. The stories are so similar, and yet different. Yes God does...more
So many times, as Christians, we forget, or take for granted that God knows us inside and out. He knows the hairs on our head, he knows our every thought, every word we say, he even knows our name! In God Knows Your Name by Catherine Campbell, we are reminded through various stories from the Bible, that God does know our name! That he cares what happens to us, that no matter how alone we feel, how lower than dirt we seem, God, GOD knows our name!

This is one of the best books I have read, because it really touched my heart to realize
that God is very deeply concerned for me in my day to day life. Catherine shows in
an absorbing manner just how deep the Father's Love is for each one of us.
In my opinion "God knows your Name" is a "must read" !
I am already looking forward to Catherine's next book.

This was a great book well worth the read, it reminded me so much that God knows MY name and loves me with all my faults . It also brought the bible characters to life and I felt I really knew them.
God really works through Catherine in her writing, I would highly recommend this book, it gives you a real feeling of worth to know that such an amazing God loves everyone of us.
