Melissa agrees to leave the Agency and go vacation in New York while Jonathan tries to impress his boss into letting him, eventually, run the company. Melissa's helpful and exhuberent personality as well as the stereotype of pushy demanding New Yorkers conspire to cause trouble for Jonathan and Melissa.

I read "The Little Lady Agency" and couldn't put the book down! I was thrilled to have found a new series to read and immediately purchased Hester Browne's next two books, "Little Lady, Big Apple" and "The Little Lady Agency and the Prince."
I was expecting more of the same humor in "Little Lady, Big Apple," but unfortunately, after forcing myself to continue reading after the first couple chapters, I did indeed, "put the book down," and I ha...more

After reading The Little Lady Agency I was very excited to start Little Lady, Big Apple. In all honesty I liked the first book better. Melissa is still great as a character. What bugged me about this book were the characters around her, specifically Jonathan. I liked him in the first book but not as much in this book. In one scene Melissa is giving advice to one woman and I was screaming at her that she should take her own advice. One good thing about this book is that Melissa's relationship wit...more

I did enjoy the fist Little Lady novel but was a bit disappointed with this one. There was so much going on that didn't get tied up: her father and the olympic committee, her sister Allegra and the investigation, and then Cindy the ex-wife. Seriously! There was also all the inuendo about what Gabi and Allegra did with the agency while she was away that didn't get answered. And her mom and the knitted animals... what did that have to do with anything? Then Emery telling her about how her hus...more

Even though this book only gets three stars, I enjoyed reading it very much, its a good beach book. I enjoyed picking up with all of the characters from the first book, going around New York with Melissa and following her in and out of trouble. I enjoy her "proper" take on things, and the vexing differences in communication between the sexes that rings pretty true. It was like Bridget Jones meets the Cashmere Mafia. As many have said before me, it takes longer than it should for Me...more

Leaving her fledgling Little Lady agency behind in the hands of her sister Allegra and friend Gabi, Melissa treks to Manhatten to spend time with Jonathan. She attempts to promise to not worry about her business, but with those two in charge, how can she not? Melissa is introduced to many NY friends of Jonathan and it becomes clear that he hopes for her to change the direction of her efforts a bit and channel her ideas into planning baby showers and weddings, rather than helping men with pers...more

Not as good as Browne's first in this series, which I commented was "substantial" chick lit. There was a lot more going on than you usually get in that genre. This one was still good, but didn't quite live up to the first. She was mostly playing the same tune, just in New York instead of London. Worth reading, but no big character leaps. I am moving right on to #3 in the series, though, as I have it on hand.

I was satisfied with book number two in the Little Lady books. I didn't love it as much as book number one. As these series normally go, the perfect man usually ends up with a flaw or two which he ultimately overcomes by the end of the novel. I was not a huge fan of the "controlling man" flaw in this book. Why do these men always want women to choose?

This is the sequel to "The Little Lady Agency", and I have to say, I liked it better than the first book. I guess there's nothing so enjoyable as a fish out of water, or a Brit in New York. It has its share of stupid-character moments, though. The kind that make you want to reach into the pages and shake the little idiots.

I vaguely remember reading the one prior to this. It is standard British Chick Lit: Brit goes to NYC with her workaholic bf, goes shopping, gets into trouble, and runs back to London to her friends and flat. It was good brain candy, devoured along with some kettle-corn on a bitterly cold Sunday night.

It is a good 2nd book in the series. I enjoyed the light reading and getting to know the people better and see how they developed.
Fast read and want more.

Well, this book is a sequel to The Little Lady Agency by Hester Browne. Its great, though, not as good as the first. Very funny, though. It is written by a british author the humor is absolutely dry and wonderful! You'll love it - but not as much as the first in this series of three books.

Her American characters speak like they're English. I think I liked this one a little better than the first one, but it might just be because I catch more references than the London-based one... anyway, it was silly and fun, but there were a lot of loose ends... maybe the next sequel?

I must have been drunk when I thought I liked the first one. Except I don't drink. I don't think I can read any more of these, "I love my man! He's perfect! But he finds things I do imperfect, so he's going to break up with me and I will be sad and then we will get back together," books.

This was okay. So parts are funny, I thought it was better then the first one, but still not as good as confessions of a shopaholic. Very easy read for anyone who likes London Girl books. You don't necessarily need to read the first one to understand this one, but it may be helpful.

A sequel to The Little Lady Agency. Possesses much of the same charm as the original, but with a higher level of neuroticism that doesn't particularly add to the experience. The ending is rather frustrating but it's still a fun ride getting there. Gotta love that Brit Chick Lit.

Entertaining! It's hard to put this book down when you get into it. It's like your very likeable friend telling you a story from start to the end. I like the story teller's vivid description of things, and the story seems to be so believable. i love it. :)
