It was cute, light, fluffy, and entertaining. I noticed in the back of the book there was to have been a 2nd installment that never materialized.

One of my all time favorite books. Just as good on a second reading as when I first picked it up ten years ago.

I’ve never been a big fan of hardboiled noir detective stuff, but York’s heroine was refreshingly cliché-free. I’m not entirely sure how Lauren realized who the bad guy was, but the characters were charming enough that I didn’t mind.
