3.5-ish stars, maybe? I’ve read and liked an Armintrout book before. I really wanted to see what she would do with something steampunk flavored, so I read this. I wish it was an actual novel and not erotica. The potential for a good book was there, but there just wasn't enough depth to it. The storyline and the characters were interesting. But, instead of the scenes necessary to flush out the characters and plot, you get more sex. Of course, that’s probably to be expected from it being erotica....more
A very intriguing steampunk premise. Permilia’s curiosity gets the best of her, gracefully endures the ‘indignity’ of her first experience in fetish club. The experience not only opened her eyes to the possibilities of real intimate pleasures, but broke through societal programming of propriety and plain human nature.
It’s a youthful, daring, thoroughly exciting story of doing what the body wants, while throwing all logic out with the trash. I know, cliché…The sex machines are quite imaginative...more

Delightful! Sweet and naughty and kinky and just so much fun to read! I discovered Ms. Armintrout through the 50 shades blogging controversy and I'm delighted that I did. I enjoy her snarky, sarcastic sense of humor, and the steampunk sex club double-life setting for this novella is no exception.
I look forward to continuing the series and discovering what else those naughty Sterling brothers have added to that club of theirs.

The alter-ego of USA Today Bestselling Author Jennifer Armintrout, Abigail Barnette was born during a conversation with author Bronwyn Green, who encouraged Jennifer to develop an elaborate fantasy persona-- complete with nom de plume-- under which to pen erotic romance. Abigail enjoys long naps in fairy-filled glades, running through corridors in tragically romantic haunted castles, and drinking...more
