"Welcome to my fantasy." Kendall breathed in the richly scented air as she paused at the top of the flight of stairs leading from the small private jet.

She gave the flight attendant a quick smile. "Where's Tattoo?"

The attendant, a young woman with a vapid smile, looked perplexed. "Sorry, who?"

Those are the first lines of this book, and I'm not ashamed to say that I know who Tattoo is and had a silly smile on my face when I read them. I even shouted, "The plane! The plane!" :)

I enjoyed this novella from Megan Hart, but I wish it had been a full length novel so we could have gotten more of the relationship development and more details of the assignment that went terribly wrong.

That said, it was still a great story with a healthy serving of heat and a hero and heroine I’d love to know more about. In fact, this would make a great prologue to a full length novel – maybe a year down the road something happens to separate them for a time until they can work thei

Kendall Fraiser is a DEA agent and Zane Vincent is an undercover agent working for the DEA.They were both forced to take a two week vacation to Corazon del Mar,to undergo psychological evaluation and therapy. This all happens after a tragic accident, where Kendall loses her partner,Dan Whitney in the line of duty and she puts the blame on Zane Vincent. OK, wow, you can really read this in one sitting! This book is pretty steamy, but it just wasn't long enough.

The first thing I HAVE to mention is, thank God this got re-issued, because by looking at the previous cover I might have not been in such a rush to read it! So two thumbs up on going with the hot guy at the beach.

OK, so Kendall is a DEA agent, her partner recently got killed during friendly fire (he jumped in front of a bullet, by accident, while on an

I really enjoyed Megan Hart’s latest short story, Friendly Fire. Kendall and Zane are both on an enforced “vacation” abroad after a drug bust results in the death of Kendall’s partner…by Zane’s bullet. Given several options, they both end up figuring sun and sand are the best place to recuperate and be physically and mentally evaluated by department professionals. Zane is attracted to Kendall, but both agents’ guilt in the death of Kendall’s partner prevents them from moving from agents to lover ...more

As a huge fan of Megan Hart's,I was really looking forward to this short story from her. After it taking me only about 45 minutes to read it from beginning to end, I have to say it fell a little flat for me.
Kendall Frasier has been forced by the FBI to take a mandatory two weeks off after she witnesses the accidental shooting of her partner. Kendall joins a dozen or more FBI agents on a trip to an exotic island where they are to engage in physical examinations, therapy sessions, and pure relaxat

Friendly Fire by Megan Hart is a short erotic story that imparts a very sweet story. Kendall Frasier and Zane Vincent are Federal Agents who are sent away to an exotic island to get some forced R&R after a case they were working on went bad. Kendall’s partner was accidentally shot by Zane as he attempted to keep a dangerous situation from escalating into a blood bath. Kendall and Zane heal each other’s emotional wounds caused by the circumstances that led them to this forced get away. The wa ...more

Great story with an even better background & premise that, IMO, would have been better suited in a full length format. Or, maybe I just love character development & watching storylines unfold and novellas just don't offer me that. They are more "wham, bam, thank you ma'am" which is good sometimes, but not all. I look forward to reading more from this author.

This story is like a single, exquisite truffle in the middle of a large, glittering, crystal platter. It's delicious, and if you only wanted a small bite of decadent chocolate, it would be perfect. But, seeing as the platter would easily hold a large chocolate torte, if you wanted a bit *more,* you might feel a bit frustrated. At 50 pages, this is short, even for a Novella, but it's also Hart, and she's an amazing talent. . The first 25 pages are rich with character and backstory-- Kendall and Z ...more

Sent to a tropical island for a mandatory authorized vacation, Agent Kendall Frasier doesn’t want to be reminded that Zane Vincent’s friendly fire killed her partner. Zane Vincent’s actions that night haunt him, but he knows he did everything right, so why does it hurt so much? The two are drawn to each other, but at the same time their past keep them from enjoying each other.

Both Kendall and Zane brought heavy guilt luggage to the island. Neither can accept that the agent who died, died from hi

Friendly Fire was a fun and quick read, perfect for by the pool or a break in bewteen full-length novels.

The story was well-written, kept my interest and flowed nicely with a great setting; I liked the characters and their background. The sex scenes were steamy but brief and light for an erotica, I was left wanting.
I enjoyed the whole premises of Friendly Fire but honestly; it was just too short for me to become really invested in the characters. It was like when you see someone interesting walk
This was a fun little quickie that shows just how much fun finding romance on a vacation, even a working one, is just what a person needs.

Kendall and Zane are both feeling guilty for the same action, Kendall's partner shot by Zane. They each had a reason to be wary of the other, but are forced together on a vacation/medical get your head together trip. It is only as they are forced in each other's proximity and actually talk about what happen that they start to understand what the other feels. A

This was a good short story. That is my only real complaint, TOO SHORT! I really liked these characters, what I got to know of them and I think they had a full length book in them, too bad this wasn't it.

Ugh! I expected something...different... If you are a Megan Hart fan, you have got to get out of the mind frame of book like: Dirty, Tempted and Naked. I thought it a bit too short to really get into the characters...too short to relate to them...

I thought it interesting that we didn't get much insight into Zane's mind. It was a very one sided story and not all that steamy.

After the death of her partner in the line of duty, Kendall Frasier, a DEA agent agrees to a 2 week island vacation to undergo psychological evaluation and therapy; it was also a chance for her to enjoy a bit of R&R.
Not wanting anything to do with Zane Vincent, the agent responsible for the stray bullet, she finds herself on the same island as him to deal with the emotional turmoil they are both feeling.

I'm always a bit anxious when I pick up a short story because let's be honest most of us have the prejudice that a short story can't have the depth and complexity of a full novel but Megan Hart did it again and showed me that even her shorter work will grab me on the first page and leave me with a smile on my face at the end.

Kendell is a DEA agent and she finds herself on a "paradise" island. We all would squee with delight at such an opportunity but the reason for her stay deminishes her enthus

She had issues with him but didn’t want to see him dead. She agrees to a weeklong “vacation” that is sanctioned by the bureau where she will undergo physical and psychological testing while trying to enjoy the beach.

My Review:
This book was a super-fast sweet little read. Sent to a tropical island as a recuperative retreat, Zane and Kendall are not exactly on friendly terms. Kendall's partner was just killed in a friendly fire incident during a drug bust. Zane just happened to be the one firing the shot. Everyone agrees that the partner made a wrong move and that is why he died. But both Kendall and Zane are dealing with guilt and blame issues, regardless of what they know in

On board the plane is Agent Zane Vincent, the owner of the gun that killed her partner. This is going to prove to be an interesting two weeks.

This is only the second book I’ve read by Megan Hart, but I have to say I actually found myself enjoying this book despite a few initial reservations I had.

This story is definitely on the short side but what it lacks in length it makes up for in sexiness. Oh, ha! I made a length reference. In a review for a smutty book. Excuse me while I go giggle like a 12-year-old for a minute.

Okay. I'm back. Now, while I don't normally care for contemporary romances, this one was fun. Kendall was full of guilt over her partner's death- although not necessarily for the normal reasons- and Zane has to deal with the fact that his bullet was the one that ended Kenda

This was a short and hot novella. Maybe I should take out that flashing sign I found that made that clear, cos yes, hot.

Since it is very short there is not much to say about it. Kendall and Zane comes to a wonderful island, not to have a vacation but to get a psych evaluation since they were involved in a shooting and her partner died. She feels sad and responsible, and Zane who pulled the trigger has stuff to deal with too. They really do not like each other, but that island is a paradise and t
