In some ways this book comes across as no more than a collection of blog posts. That's not necessarily a bad thing -- it is a good introduction to how social/new media is changing PR and a very good overview of the areas, tools and strategies PR practitioners need to think about.

The case studies Breakenridge uses aren't quite as nicely explored and laid out as in many other business books. But that would have taken much more time to write. Always a danger when the field is changing as much as it

This is a great book and a wonderful resource for those new to PR as well as those who have been in the game for a while. It's all about putting the "public" back in PR. Bonus: Dierdre is also really nice!

Great read about the ever-changing world of Public Relations. Everything you thought you knew about PR is now different and more technology focused.

i read this a few years back (in 2008). It's an excellent book that breaks it all down, though I believe that there should now be a PR 3.0, if not 4.0. Is there? I'm gonna find out....

A should-read book on market positioning for the knowledge worker, manager, executive, or entrepreneur.
