Shelves: poetry
As this is only her second volume it seems a little raw, but having read all her works when I reread this today, I could see where her voice and style started. She taught Irish lit to our small class of US students in Spring 1987. So to this day when I read her I hear her voice reading the words to me and I like that.

Born in Dublin in 1944, Eavan Boland studied in Ireland, London and New York. Her first book was published in 1967. She has taught at Trinity College, University College Dublin, Bowdoin College, and at the University of Iowa.
