Jamie Magee hits us with Embody – Sequel to Insight
Willow and Landen held my heart from Insight – but Drake is slowly digging his way in after finishing Embody. Magee’s world of alternate dimensions and crossing through strings is extraordinarily consuming! Twisting the world on love, zodiac signs, and other worlds is fresh and welcomed!

When I was offered to read this for a review I was excited. I was eager to jump back in to Jamie's world of strings, other demsions, and true love. Just so you know I was not disappointed.

3.5 stars....
Embody picks up not far after Insight and takes a similar path of discovery as it goes along.
My only complaint is the first 1/2 of the book lacked just a bit of action for me - it was a lot of filling us in on how they were going to defeat the latest hurdle, which was necessary, but seemed to take forever to get to the meat of the story and I found myself getting distracted, which is why I went with a 3.5 for this one.

I just finished this for a book tour (and while I received a free copy, I ended up buying it on my Kindle too). This is the second book in the series, and starts with Willow and Landon beginning to discover new powers and their role in the universe.
For me the book really picks up once Willow encounters Evie and Stella. I have no wish for Willow and Drake to be together, but I find his character far more interesting than any other male (well, except Dane, how can you not love Dane?). In Insight...more

If you have been by my blog in the last couple of weeks, then you know that I have fallen in love with the Insight Series. Embody is the perfect mixture of action, philosophy, and undying love. Landen and Willow will once again face Drake as Mercury orbits into place. This is the second of many trials they will face in order to restore the color to Esterious. As the myth goes, only the rightful Guardian with Willow at his side can prevail over the world. Drake believes he is the Guardian and wil...more

A massive thank you to Jamie for letting me review a PDF Arc copy of this book. I was blown away yet again by the story just like I was blown away with Insight.

For starters this is more of a 3 and a half star but I just couldn't do four. There are a few things that still bugged me. That in mind this book was far better than the first. This is certainly one of those times that the author gets better with practice. I wonder what the third book has in store for us. So, lets get the bad stuff out of the way before moving on. I liked that there seemed to be more personality for the characters. It was funny at first how everyone joked about Willow not being...more

Picking up shortly after Insight ends, Willow and Landen are learning about and growing their powers. When Willow's friends find a photo showing Willow with Drake, it proves that they were together in a previous life. When Willow and Landen try to heal Esterious, Willow must confront this past and move beyond it. But can she?

I just love this series! I really do it is amazing how the author describes love and how we all have soul mates. It is so beautiful. This series is all about true love and how incredible strong it is. Love concurs all and that is very true in this book. Willow and Landen only gets stronger both as individuals and as soul mates in this book but their love will be tested in more ways than one in this book.

This book seemed to drag for me honestly. There was no action till halfway into the book and all Willow seemed to do was feel sorry for herself and whine about her past lives with Drake... I just wanted her to get OVER it.
I did like how Drakes side of the story is kinda brought about... I feel bad for him. I think he's my favorite character.
The book really annoyed me with grammer and puncuation errors though honestly. There were conversations that did NOT make sense at all for one reason or an...more

I recieved an early digital ARC copy from the author and squealed in excitement at the time...but we're talking about the second book of the Insight Series, not how much a dork I am, so moving on...
Let me just get my opinion out of the way, because that's what you really care about. I was nervous reading this one because the sequel has to be better, and I knew it would be hard to top Insight. Wow! This was such a great book. I found myself having to read Insight (book 1) a little slower than I normally read. The writing and descriptions were so beautifully detailed that I didn't want to miss anything. However, I felt like there was a lot more dialogue when reading Embody, and I was able to read it a bit faster. This did not in anyway take away from the story, in fact I definitely enjoyed Embody even more. I loved reading the next step in Willow and Landen's journey. I love, love, lov...more
4.5/5 stars.
I received an arc of this book.
Embody is the sequel to Insight. And I must say I loved it even more than the first book. It sometimes takes me a while to get into a new book (vs a series) because I don't know any of the characters. So already knowing and loving everyone from Insight made it that much easier for me to get into the story.

I had so many expectations for this book when I first began reading it. I had fallen in love with this series but as I began Embody, I felt that this book would disappoint. The first half of the book is extremely slow and lacks action. Unfortunately though, I can se why the writer made it this way. The first half of Embody lays down the foundation for what will happen in the last half. Even though I was dissatisfied in the beginning, I...more

Interest: I loved Insight and was thrilled to read this.
Title Thoughts: Once again one word captured the entire book.
Cover Thoughts: I really like it and it portrays the book well. I also love how it has some of the symbols that were present on the Insight cover as well.
WARNINGS: None.

While it was slow to start, Embody picks up where Insight left off. The first part of the book is slow going, but it is also a nice way to get you filled on where things are, and also to let us feel some deeper bonding taking place between Willow and Landen, as well as the rest of their friends and family. The trials that Willow and Landen face are deeper rooted in their faith of their eternal love and commitment, and allows healing to take place within all in the end. I look forward to the next...more
Jamie Magee has proven herself to be an old soul. This book is not only a good read because of its plot, but also because of the trinkets of truth that the reader can apply to reality. Magee has weaved an alternate reality that we can all aspire for. If we all can see how we are interconnected with each other, how our actions can affect other "souls" then maybe we can get rid of wars and conflict.
Magee has a way of writing from the heart which in turn can pull at the readers' heartstrings. I can...more

Look over some small gramatical errors and maybe some a couple of misspellings and this book was awesome. I enjoyed the first book thoroughly and wasn't real sure where they were going to go with this one. Normally the second book doesn't seem as captivating as the first, but this one was. Same cast of characters, maybe a couple of new ones, slightly predictible, but not until after the "event" happened. It was a very fast read, and I am on to the third!
If you read the first book Insight you will not be disappointed with the sequel. I literally did not put this book down. In Embody Willow and Landon are again tested by Drake. Embody gives you a deeper look into their past lives and a deeper picture of Drake and who he really is. The suspense of the love triangle is great and the story of Willow and Landon is one heck of a romance.
Ok lets get the bad out of the way, the grammical errors erked me a little bit.
Now on to the good, I love this series just finished book 2 yesterday and I'm starving for book 3, I have to admit I think her and Landon are destined to be together but there's still that passion and lust drake holds that tugs at my heart. Oh to have live like that. Amazing book high hopes for book 3.

WOW........
Not many books are able to leave me speechless, but Embody by Jamie Magee has done just that. Insight (Insight #1) grabbed and held onto my #1 book read in 2010 award and I have to say in advance that Embody will be in that top slot for 2011.
Jamie painted pictures so vividly with her words that I actually felt like I was part of this beautiful world she created as well as the trial and tribulations that Willow and Landons love are put through. I was asked just over halfway though the...more

I really liked this sequel. Since I am liking the whole story.
I was missing some Drake in the first book. But in this one, I was so much in the story. That I actually got annoyed. When there was a lot of Drake and no Landen. Then I suddenly wanted Landen xD haha Talk about living the book :P haha
Loving all the special stuff they can do and everything is so well written and well thought of.
I could out of doubt imagine these books as a movie :)

Holy crap I loved this book! The ongoing saga of Willow, Landen and Drake continues to surprise and completely stress me out! I love the relationships, the tie ins to astrology, and the overwhelming theme of love, family and positive energy. Just started Image and hoping for some closure and happy endings for all ~ Jamie Magee, you are a talent:)
