CAMELIA HAMMOND thought her powers of psychometry gave her only the ability to sense the future through touch. But now she has started to hear voices, cruel voices telling her that she'd be better off dead. Camelia is terrified for her mental stability, especially since her deranged aunt has just moved into the house. As if all of that weren't torturing enough, Camelia's e...more

OK. So this book is not out yet and I have a few things to say.

1. THE BOOK ISN'T OUT YET! How can you rate how good it is if you haven't read the thing!?!?!?!?! Bah, it annoys me.

2. This summary makes me want to read the book REALLY bad.

3. Camelia, why are you still interested in Adam? Bah, you amde me annoyed at you.

4. Ben, I hope you have a good time with Alejandra because your ex Camelia, I'm kinda annoyed with her.

5. Oh, another thing to Ben, do you happen to look like Ben in the Secret Life...more

Just a warning, there will be spoilers below.

So I really loved this book, up until the last page. I was all set to give a 5 star rating and then the last page ticked me off. Hence only 4 stars. First off, I do not like that Camelia chose Adam. I like his character, but I feel like they are not right together. Something about them doesn't seem to fit, in my opinion anyway. Ben, while he has his trust issues, just seems like he belongs with Camelia. He has also saved her numerous times and the las...more

OK, this book doesn't come out until December 6th, but I still can't wait to read it. Before I read this, I went to the author's website, and she wasn't telling who the other girl Ben was seeing was, so I thought, "Oh no, is it Rena Maruso? Because now they're chemistry partners, so what if?" I'm happy to know it isn't her, but I still hate the fact that Ben is torturing Camelia, even if he doesn't fully mean to. And, what the hell kind of a name is that? It's pretty, but Ben and Alejandra just...more

This book is the fourth in the Touch series and it starts out with Camelia hearing voices that call her worthless and tell her to die. She thinks she might end up like her aunt, so she gets help (finally) from a therapist who specializes in what's going on with her. As it turns out Camelia is having premonitions about a girl in trouble and she wants to help her.

I really liked this book even though I didn't like the ending because I like Ben way better than Adam. I think that Camelia should just...more

Camille and Ben.

Camille and Adam.

Camille and what?? Another-crazed stalker?

I have to admit that the familiar plot line is exactly what I love about the series. Without making this spoiler-ish, I will hint at the fact that this plot is very believable and yet it's about a familiar (for the series) predicament -- someone's stalking a student at Camille's high school. But this time, Camille's voices get louder and her premonitions become actual visions that rip...more

I recommend this book for people that are into mysterious but also romance kind of books. I think this book is very good. I have read almost all of the books in this series and this one is my favorite. This one is my favorite because its about a girl, Camellia, and shes starting to hear voices in her head. The creepy thing about it is her aunt hears them too. Her and her aunt are some how connected, and they both know it.
The book is very well written. It is also very creative and suspenseful. I...more

I absolutely love these books! This book is the 4th book in the series, and its just as good as the last 3, if not better! This series reminds me a little of the Body Finder series, so if you like that series, you will like this!

This book was full of suspense, just the way I like it! I could not put it down, I started it last night at about 5:00, took a break around 6:30 for supper, then went back to reading until I finished! There is also a lot of love angst--Camelia's first love, Ben, is tryin...more

1.5 stars. Camelia starts to hear voices which seem like nothing. Shes got more power than she knew before. Ben finally gets in worse trouble, hurt. It's suspense and mystery. You will keep guessing until you know. Camelia has been heartbroken when she shouldn't have abandoned him. It does seriously anger me how her and Ben break up and when they can't stop thinking about each other it could be better if they stayed together. By the way this series is going, I can predict that in the end they'll...more

Here's the thing about this author; I had read her Blue Is For Nightmares series years ago and loved it so I wanted to read all of her books. I had had no idea she'd had another series so I decided to try it out.
And I really like the series, I do.
But her characters are all the same. I could easily make a connection between the characters in this series and Blue is For Nightmares. They definitely feel the same.
And while I like their banter sometimes, it seriously IRKS THE CRAP OUT OF ME that Cam...more

Ben and Camelia have finally decided to take time for themselves and they have stopped seeing each other. No sooner then that happens Camelia’s psychometric power becomes more intense and she begins to suffer from hallucinations. Her friends try to help her sort out what she’s seeing, along with her Aunt who possesses the same powers. Camelia just wants to help the girl she keeps sensing. But does that mean getting close to Ben again, telling Adam about her past...more

The book "Deadly Little Voices" is actually another sequel of the book "Deadly Little Lies". Trying to cope with her psychometric powers, Camelia immediately started to her voices in her head. Scary voices, insulting voices and annoying voices. With the help of her own Aunt Alexia (who obtained the same powers as Camelia) and her own two best friends, she senses that someone she knows might be in trouble... But the only problem is who? Why would anyone want to hurt that person? It all remains a...more

Deadly Little Voices is the fourth book in The Touch Series by Laurie Stollarz and for the fourth time, I was pleasingly delighted. Just like its three counterparts, it has everything that a paranormal book offers: mystery, creepiness, and basically everything that is not in accordance with scientific laws. This was the kind of book I could really enjoy and before even finishing it; I knew that it would be a pleasurable read.

Camelia has grown up more, in the sense of getting more in tune with he...more

What It's Got:
- stalkers
- choppy interludes of stalker notes
- a socially challenged leading character
- detailed side characters
- a really cute couple who have decided to "take a break" for pretty much all of the book

Deadly Little Voices is the fifth book in the Touch series, and I must say, it is probably not the series' brightest moment. The whole time I was reading the book, I was thinking, "when are they going to get together again?" I almost feel bad for Laurie Faria Stolarz because she...more

Overall, I thought this was a nice addition to the series, although I found this one a little less... creepy as the others. Honestly, the WOW factor in the Touch Series for me was the whole stalking bit. I was kept up late reading just for the suspense, not ever knowing what was going to happen next. Unfortunately, with Deadly Little Voices, I did not get the creep factor. I didn't find myself ENTHRALLED with the story line as I usually am, and the whole Jack and Jill thing I found pretty anti-c...more

*3.5 stars...figure i'd round up (i really liked the first one.)

What?! WHAT!?!?! The ending. It kills me! - No worries no spoilers.

BUT WHY!?

Anyway some useful comments. If you read the first book you will probably be disappointed by this book if you compare them, and i say this because i loved the first and this one was sitting on my shelf for quiet some time. However, the story is good, very interesting and "Aunt Alexia" starts to become a much more...useful and normal character which i loved....more

Since I'd already read the first three books in this series, I decided to take on the fourth installment when it showed up at my local library. Though Stolarz's writing continues to be easy and quick to read, the story lacks any real substance or originality. Not surprisingly, the plot involves Camelia's touch powers and yet another stalker out to hurt someone in her town. The love triangle between Ben (mysterious and brooding) and Adam (sweet, hot, and understanding) persists, and the side-kick...more

I have to revert back to what I wrote about the first Touch book, Deadly Little Secrets - "This was a very quick, light read. I'm giving this a 3 out of 5 because that's all it really deserves, there was no real wow factor."
Oh boy, has this series come a long way since then! The books just keep getting better and better and this must be the best one yet. We don't have so much of the romance angling from the previous books. Camelia's resolved to accept her relationship with Ben will never be what...more

This series is fantastic and I've yet to make up my mind whether the last installment Deadly Little Lessons is a good or bad thing. It's good because I don't have to keep anticipating the release of another one and generally authors kill their books with neverending series' but it's bad because it's just a neatly-packaged, half-ghost story, half-romance. There are times when I dislike Camelia because she's like other female protagonists (even though they pretend to be independent and self-suffic...more

I can't believe Laurie has let us hanging like this! The next freaking book comes out until December! Seriously, writers shouldn't publish anything until they have the whole thing done! They love to make us suffer. I know I'm just blabbering but Deadly Little Lessons is too far away!

I want Ben back! I mean Adam might be sweet and everything but I find it hard to trust him fully after the stunt he pulled in the second book!

Plus, it's pretty obvious Ben and Camelia are meant to be together! He has...more

In Deadly Little Voices, Camelia's psychometric powers are stronger than ever and the voices that come with this latest premonition are mean and malicious. As Camelia struggles to differentiate what's real and what's not, she feels her sanity slipping and all the while someone is in serious danger. Camelia must find who she can trust to help her before it's too late--for herself and the girl in trouble.

CAN'T WAIT!!!! The whole series are sooo good! and this one sounds like the best! I cant wait to find out what happens with Camelia and Ben's relationship, i hope they end up together, and now that Camelia's hearing voices and is questioning her sanity sounds really intresting. Hurry upp book i want to read youu!

I thought it was a good book to the series! I would love to have Ben and Camelia together, but I think Ben needs to grow up a little and stop trying to protect her from everything. He could be good for her if he would treat her as an equal instead of his kid, always sheltering her. I do wish he gets his act together and lets her in. I don't want her with Adam because I always end up suspecting him of things which makes me feel like I can't fully trust him, so neither should she. As for her abili...more

This is my favorite book in the series so far. I enjoyed this book so much I read it in one setting. There is great suspense and even some great humor. I found myself laughing out loud on more then a few occasions. Cam is finally the person who I wanted her to be in the previous books! Strong, confident, and fearless. The premonitions Cam has are intense and scary. But she finally does what is necessary in getting herself some much needed help. With her Aunt living with her it makes everything e...more

This was probably the best out of the 4 books. Though the series kept me up late at night, it frustrates me. I hate Camelia's and Ben's on and off relationship. I also hate how Ben was barely in the book at all. Adam needs to go away. And Camelia and Ben need to realize they're meant to be! Their relationship suffered because of the lack of communication and trust. They seriously need to talk things out instead of making plans to "talk later." The ending to the book gives me a heartache. I agree...more

This is a quick review of the fourth book in the Touch Series. Not reading the series? Maybe don't read the review. I try to keep these spoiler free, but ya just never know.

I am a huge fan of Ms. Stolarz skillz of a writer. I love her fast-paced, quirky style filled with wit and mystery with a side of paranormal wth?. With very little she is able to not only set a scene but give us a sense of character and setting. Deadly Little Voices (the fourth book in her Touch Series) delivers all this and...more

I kinda feel bad for Ben because he really cares for Camelia but I love Adam! Somehow, I think Camelia is better off with Adam. He's good looking (ok, he's hot), he's caring and loving, Camelia's dad loves him, and he's funny! Totally the most suitable (and adorable) boyfriend for a teenage girl like Camelia. Why? Because she's got a lot on her plate, she doesn't need more from Ben. Sure, Ben cares for her, Ben loves her, but that doesn't change the fact that Ben couldn't be more useful in her s...more

I'm not going to lie. I was ready to give up on this series. While it was interesting, it just wasn't doing it for me. But something compelled me to read Deadly Little Voices, the latest installment. And I'm really glad I did. I ended up really enjoying this book and I'm excited for the final one now.

The main character, Camelia has bothered me in the past. But I think she has grown since, becoming more independent. Poor Camelia. She has a lot to deal with. In Deadly Little Voices, she experienc...more

“Dear Jack:
I have no idea who he was. But he saved me. From you.
I watched from the doorway as he smacked, punched, and threw you against the wall. You fought back hard- I'll give you that- but you were no match for him.
And when it was over- when you'd finally passed out- the boy made direct eye contact with me. He removed the rag from my mouth and asked me if I was okay.
'Yes. I mean, I think so,' I told him.
But it was her that he was really interested in: the girl who was lying unconscious on the floor. Her eyes were swollen, and there looked to be a trail of blood running from her nose.
The boy wiped her face with a rag. And then he kissed her, and held her, and ran his hand over her cheek, finally grabbing his cell to dial 911.
He was wearing gloves, which I thought was weird. Maybe he was concerned about his fingerprints, from breaking in. But once he hung up, he removed the gloves, took the girl's hand, and placed it on the front of his leg- as if it were some magical hot spot that would make her better somehow. Tears welled up in his eyes as he apologized for not getting there sooner.
'I'm so sorry,' he just kept saying.
And suddenly I felt sorry too.
Apparently it was the anniversary of something tragic that'd happened. I couldn't really hear him clearly, but I was pretty sure he'd mentioned visiting an old girlfriend's grave.
'You deserve someone better,' he told her. 'Someone who'll be open and honest; who won't be afraid to share everything with you.' He draped his sweatshirt over her, kissed her behind the ear, and then promised to love her forever.
A couple minutes later, another boy came in, all out of breath. 'Is she alright?' he asked.
The boy who saved me stood up, wiped his tearful eyes, and told the other guy to sit with her until she woke up. And then he went to find scissors for me. He cut me free and brought me out to the sofa. 'My name's Ben,' he said. 'And help is on the way.'
When the girl finally did wake up, Ben allowed the other guy to take credit for saving her life. I wanted to ask him why, but I haven't been able to speak.
That's what this letter is for. My therapist says that I need to tell my side of things in order to regain my voice. She suggested that addressing my thoughts directly to you might help provide some closure.
So far, it hasn't done the trick.
Never your Jill,
Rachael”
