This was a very well done short tale. Nice concept, well executed. Cleverly written beginning, clever ending, very strong middle with a lot of fun narration and ways of phrasing things. Can't really give something this whimsical five stars, but for silliness of this sort, it was one of the best. Will definitely check out other works by this author.
I've been exploring new books and authors recently, and I read some reviews of Justin Cawthorne's stories. Most of which said various versions of just go ahead and read it already.
Well that's pretty much the advice I have for anyone reading this review. 'Strawberries' was gross, funny, and disturbing. It involves what amounts to a zombie apocalypse and one of my favorite fruits. What's not to love?

Mmmmm strawberries..

I think I'll go have some now.
I was only going to give this short story 3 stars, but the ending changed my mind.

People are going crazy over these delicious strawberries. They are even fighting one another for them. What's so great about these strawberries? Take a chance and read this quick story to find out.

The story was interesting, but the ending made me like it even more.

I love strawberries! ;)
