Number eight of this series and one of a number of current books set in the troubled years of Elizabeth I’s reign when spying and plotting was at a peak. The year is 1596. Ursula is pulled into events leading to an attempt to put Mary, Queen of Scots, on Elizabeth’s throne. She is asked to return to working as a spy. The historical details are realistic. An average offering.
