I have tried a few recipes in this book as Mark and I feel better and lose weight if we trim back the carbs. The other night I made a salad in the book called Autumn Salad. I did not have pears so I substituted red grapes. It also had lettuce, red onion, toasted pecans, and blue cheese with a homemade vinegrette. It was very tastey. For the dedicated Low Carb lifestyle, this is decent. There are a lot of recipes--that's easy enough to see from the title. But would you rather have a massive list of recipes, or a nice cookbook with photographs and design. I personally prefer the latter. (That's why I'd recommend the book "Taking out the Carbage" by DJ Foodie rather than this. Dana does a decent job with her book, but it's bland and after taking a week to flip through the book, I found myself only copying down four recipes, (a ...more
LOVE this book. I've tried several of the recipes already.. And they are just as good as promised. The peanut butter cup pie is to die for, just as good as high carb counterparts. This book is a must have for anyone living low carb.
