If you want to know thousands of facts about Korea, this is your book. A very thorough and complete look at the history of Korea. VERY BORING. I learned a lot from this book, namely if I want to learn about a country I should first read about it in the encyclopedia. I can get a great deal of very useful information quickly without purchasing an expensive book. I also need to preview a book before I actually buy it to see if it has information or a format that is useful and interesting.

I'm not sure about this one. New World maize claimed to have been a crop in Bronze and Iron Age Korea makes me wary of the author's knowledge when it comes to the earliest periods, which is what I was interested in.
