Ok so here's what happened, my son and I went to the library yesterday to return some stuff and low and behold they have a new train set in the kids section. So he plants himself there, I have no book, this is a problem. The kid section is nowhere near any adult books what so ever and the young adult is like even further.(I do not design libraries but if I did this would be remedied) I am a responsible parent and wont leave my kid alone in the kids section, but not a good enough parent to have a ...more

A collection of three short connected stories involving Australians and Californians pairing up and having copious quantities of sex. In the first story, an advertising guru from the states goes to Oz to help bring Crane surfboards and surfwear to the States. The fact that she's engaged to be married doesn't seem to stop the owner of he company or her for that matter. He's a bit of an A-hole for my liking but a decent story still. In the second, the new spokesperson for the surf company goes to ...more

Sizzling in Sydney

Sexy, macho Cameron Crane knows he needs San Francisco marketing guru Jennifer Talbot to take his Australian surf and boogie board business into the lucrative American market. No worries, mate. He’ll just seduce the little sheila. It’s not the first time he’s used his considerable skills in bed to get what he wants. And no one’s ever complained. But the minute Cameron lays eyes on Jen, he’s got the feeling the adorable, whip-smart business lady can see right through him – and h

3 to 4 stars for three stories – fun fluffy romance reads. Characters fall in love quickly. None of my pet peeves.

Cam is a surfer who started a surfboard business and became a multi-millionaire in Australia. He recently hired Jennifer (from California) to create a marketing campaign to introduce his surfboards to the U.S. Jennifer flies to Sydney, and Cam insists she stay in one of his homes rather than a hotel. From the moment he sees her, he wants to seduce her

I bought this book on impulse while at Dollarama. I didn't know they had a book section and was amazed to see that it was only two dollars! I bought it quickly and went straight to reading it.
Basically, there are three stories all packed into one book. I'm guessing around 120 pages per story (I'm not a math person so...) The story lines are completely predictable and extremely cliché. You know the one where the girl is this resilient, independent character, only to fall in love with the bad boy

Okay, for a quick fluffy read, it wasn't bad. It was light and easy. But I couldn't get past the language. We don't all talk like Paul Hogan. The use of Aussie "slang" was vastly overrated and outdated. Most Sydney-siders don't talk with that famous Aussie accent, especially if they live in the richer suburbs like the Rocks. So all those background characters just didn't fit. I hate to shatter any illusions, but this just wasn't realistic to me at all. It was just a bit irritating in its inaccur ...more

Three enjoyable steamy romances of lust at first sight that quickly turns to love because the stories are short. The plots were fun and characters all linked centering around Crane Surf & Boogie Boards. First was engaged Jen and CEO Cam then ad exec Lise and model Steve ending with ex-fiance Mark and CEO half sister Bron.

nice surfing theme, funny dialogs, quick, easy and enjoyable to read, made me understand (especially the last part)that the person close to you that you may find simple and plain, not able to make your heart race, maybe be the perfect one, a jewel, for someone else, and the opposite of course! so never say never!

I normally don't really care for several books in one, but this novel was alright. It was funny + sweet. The characters were mostly likeable... except for Cam in the very beginning. He just seemed too sure of himself and not in a good way. Other than that, it was enjoyable =]

Sizzling in Sydney and Surfer Boy were pretty good but The Great Barrier was horrible. It featured horribly flat characters - he has no personality and she's a slut. Of the three heroes, of course I liked bad boy Cameron the best.

It was a nice break to read something that didn't require much brain capacity. I was very embarassed for all characters as they slept with business partners within 24 hours of meeting them. But hey, when its love, it love, right?

3 1/2 stars--cute, fun set of stories.

Had this whole review typed out and then GR failed to save, so I don't have the wherewithal to do it again. Sorry!

A fun read. A book that should be read while sitting in a lawn chair enjoying the sun at the cabin on the lake. 3 stories tied together by heart break then new love.

So predictable, so fluffy, and completely not what I would ever read, but the perfect summer book that I needed at that moment.

Really good book and the best part of it was that I paid $2 at Dollarama for it and it was literally one of the best books I've read lately.
