I gave The Faery Convention a five star rating in spite of some of its flaws because Brett Davis makes accessible a complex world with complex situations and gives the whole thing an air of plausibility. This is an incredibly fun read, and gives me an idea what it would be like if Vince Flynn of Brad Thor wrote a fantasy novel. The major problem with the book is that it is too short, so there isn't enough delving into the alternate history of the setting and we also have a very rushed climax. Bu ...more
