I read this in one evening and found it entertaining enough to keep my attention. A definite "boy book", but also one I could recommend to girls interested in sports.

Deep Zone is a great book that kept me turning the page again and again. One of the best parts about this book is that you do not have to be a football fan to read it; even though, that is what the book is based on. Deep Zone has a bit of everything for everyone. I read The Deep Zone by Tim Green in this book there is a mob chasing main character Ty Lewis. He is also trying to walk in his brothers footsteps. His brother Thane Lewis (Tiger Lewis) is NFL superstar wide receiver.

i really liked this book. it really captured the struggles of a wide reciever. I also like how they tied in the whole wituation with his uncle, the mob guys, and his brother. The author did a really great job on tying it all in together and making the book interesting in every aspect. I didnt like how the story seemed to be mostly about his brother instead of the main character though. But still a very good book.

I love this book it was the best book i read. It's about a boy named Ty and his brother also their uncle Gus. First happens that his brother Tiger Lewis that plays in the playoffs and gets injured. Then this gang is after him. Then their uncle Gus asks for money. Next he gets in the team and go to the playoffs. Also i Recommend to anybody it's a great book.
Even those who do not typically like sports books should check out this one by Tim Green. Deep Zone continues the story of brothers Thane (Tiger) and Ty Lewis. Although there is a lot of football action, there is also dysfunctional family drama, mafia entanglements, rivalry, and even a smidge of romance. Oh - and alligators. Don't forget the alligators.

This is a great book. Through every ordeal Ty’s love for his brother and his brother’s love for him shine through the story. It is the one constant thing that Ty can always can count on. I recommend reading it after reading Tim Green’s The Big Time. There are two characters from The Big Time that become important characters in the Deep Zone. Deep zone is a good book but can sometimes can be very confusing. I was very surprised when there was action. it really surprised me and was very good how it was put in. I don't want to give it away but if you read this I hope and think you will be as surprised as I am.
3 1/2 stars. This series is a nice middle grade sports series for boys. I think it has a lot of appeal for reluctant readers and football fans, and for anyone who likes to pull for the underdog. Not as big a fan of the mafia story, but I'm sure that is exciting for kids.
This book is amazing and it's probably my favorite book yet! This book combines football and FBI mayhem which is awesome. But also I hope Ty's 7 on 7 team makes it to miami for the kid super bowl because Ty is so good and he deserves to play in that big of a game. Also hopefully Thane recovers fast to play in the competitions at the super bowl and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Much better than the other work Green published this year, but he still faltered at the end and the action and characters still fell flat.
i generally like his books.this was the first sports story I have read of his it was an entertaining read a little too sporty for me. I 'll stick to his legal novels. in that genre his writing is similar to john grishams
This book is definitely the best of the Football Genius series written by former player, Tim Green. Ty and Troy finally cross paths and an obvious rivalry begins between the two. Ty is easily intimidated by Troy's football smarts. The rivals meet in a 7 on 7 tournament, and just might both be in the championship game. The book Deep Zone, has exciting football action between two worthy opponents and I could not put it down.

I like the story line. I also like the neat 7 on 7 tournament.
Loved how Tim intertwined Ty and Troy's stories.
It gets a 4 because I saw Tim Green speak (he is awesome!) And I really did want to know what would happen to the characters. Some of the dialogue was a little stilted for me, but i was still invested in the story. Kids will LOVE this series! I also want to go back and at least read the first one....
