Okay, so I'm going to try and keep this classy, unlike my Twisted review.

Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.

My dearest Sara,

Why, oh why, do you pain me with this? Why continue on? You had it perfect. Your series was like a taco.

Pretty Little Liars was the shell to the taco, and with each book, you added something tasty to it! By the end of Wanted, you wrapped it up all nicely for me--you made a wonderful Literature Taco!

Then, you came out with Twisted and Ruthless...YOU DESTROYED MY TACO!!!!! You took it and...and....more

----------------------------------------------------------------------

What an explosion of shit that was. Lets summarize, shall we?

Mistakes:
-The 'oh-so-bestselling' Sara Shepard wrote 'fishes'...Isn't the plural of 'fish', 'fish'?
-Ali has always had those amazing blue eyes right? Well she described Tabitha's as green. Maybe Aria should have paid attention to her eyes before FUCKING PUSHING HER OFF A BUILDING.

So every fan girl was waiting for Ezra to come back right? Well, Ezra was back and whin...more

"Everyone’s favorite pretty little liars are back with a fresh story arc filled with dark new secrets and deadly plot twists. "

Fresh story arc? *snort* This ought to be good /sarcasm

30% into the book:

-Seriously. Has Sara Shepard never, ever, ever taken a course in Biology or Sex Ed before? How do you hide a 9-month long pregnancy from all of your friends and family? Spring Break is in March... and her baby was delivered by the end of summer? I know I mentioned this in the last book review bu...more

So it took me ONE and a half days to read this 350 page book and almost a MONTH to finish a book I was reading before it. That's how interesting this book is. Plus it doesn't hurt that I'm Jamaican and I live in Jamaica and the pretty little liars's murder took place there ;D

You'd think after ten books the whole A is trying to get you thing is stale? Nope. The twists and turns almost give you a headache because you so desperately want to make the connection and figure out who the new A is before...more

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy
crap!

Loved ruthless, it was way more dark and twisted than all of the other books in the series.

I have a few guesses on who A is:1. Klaudia. Why? She came to rosewood after what happened in Jamaica. Some of her actions, especially at the ski resort in the previous book, make her suspicious. 2. Ezra, ya I know its not going to be him but it would be really unique if it was and plus; who says A has to be a girl?? 3. Ali. Ya in book 8 she(view spoiler)...more

I'm so excited to read this!!! Omg I just can't wait 'till it comes out! Ask any PLL fan, and they'll also agree that they're so psyched for it to come out!

I was able to get the first 3 chapters of Pretty Little Liars #10: Ruthless from Alloy Entertainment website.

The book started by what happened to the four girls after Twisted. Aria was hesitant to go on vacation in Iceland with Noel, Mike and Hanna. Later on, Aria saw Noel assisting Klaudia. She haven't speak with him for weeks after Klaudia's fall. Aria was so surprised that Noel approached her only to find out that he wanted to break things off between them. Emily, on the other hand, stayed at...more

I read this book in it's entirety. At least that's what my Kindle claims. With how relevant this book is to the next in the series, it wouldn't actually matter if I hadn't.

Aria's storyline was bad. Klaudia is a joke character and doesn't fit into this series. Ezra returns. It is extremely disappointing, because it is his turn to be awful. I always disliked Ezra, but I still think his character deserves better than to nonsensically show up, lackadaisically be all stalker-y, and hook up with the...more

And so we're back. Book nine? Eight? Ten? I'm not sure, but this storyline has been pulled to within an inch of its life.

The drama and tension of the earlier books is pretty much gone, because it's expected. There will always be a random chick who comes into the girl's lives who initially they trust, then start to suspect, then have an "OMG! New A!" moment, and then realize the girl had nothing to do with it and A is still out there. All the books have ended like this.

Ruthless doesn't really ext...more

I loved this book just like the other books in the series. In Ruthless, Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily try once again to find out who A is. The girls believe that A is Kelsey, Spencer's roommate at a summer program at Penn the previous summer but they realized that their assumptions were wrong at the end of the book. I loved this book because the mystery kept thoroughly interested with every page. For example, the point of the book where Emily found out that Kay was Kelsey was a huge shocker to...more

I read the first 8 books of the Pretty Little Liars series and relatively enjoyed myself. It was suspenseful, scary, and mysterious, however also a little bit risque and nothing I would allow my teenage daughter to read, Young Adult status or no. So, I decided I would give the next set of books a try (Shepard meant to end at 8, but then with all the hype surrounding the TV show, she got some fresh "ideas" and decided to give it another go. Well, she should have ended at 8. Now the books are taki...more

I didn’t think this book was being released until December, so I was very excited to purchase it today on the Kobo store! Here is the summary:

They’ve lost friends, been targeted by a ruthless stalker named A, and narrowly escaped death. And it’s not over yet. Aria’s love life is on the fritz. E...more

Whew, I am LATE on this book! But I finally got my hands on it and finished it, and it was actually pretty good.
I didn't expect a whole lot from the book. Twisted was okay, but I expected quite a bit from it--being Pretty Little Liars, and all. So it didn't really reach my expectations, so I set them pretty low for this one and it ended up pretty good. (yes, I purposely said "pretty". punny, aren't I?)
We all know they came back with new secrets from Twisted over their A-less summer, and this on...more

Another good book in the series. I'm used to there not being much character development but in this book the main characters made so many stupid choices that I just couldn't give it five stars. I also found myself wondering why, if A only seems to communicate through text messages, not one of them has changed her number. Granted, A seems to be omnipresent so it wouldn't work but that's the first thing I would do, especially if I thought it was a copy-cat. Kelsey was an interesting and well-devel...more

The stories of Aria, Emily, Spencer, and Hanna still continue. Hanna's father is running for senator and Hanna is dating one of his competitor's sons. Emily has a new friend named Kelsey, or Kay for short. But, Spencer is one hundred percent convinced that Kelsey is A, and Spencer might be right. Spencer is also starring in the school's play as one of the leads, but sometimes isn't doing so well. But she has to ace this or else she might not get into the school of her dreams, Princeton. Aria rec...more

I read the book Ruthless by Sara Shepard. It is the tenth book in the well known series, Pretty Little Liars. I think that the characters in the book were very well developed and realistic. All of the characters had different obstacles to overcome so the truth wasn’t let out for everyone to know, because some of their secrets would reveal things that would hurt lots of people. The main characters in my book are Aria, Hanna, Spencer, and Emily. They have all been best friends since seventh grade...more

I have been reading this series for years now. And the first book I found amazing. Heck, the whole original series I found pretty darn amazing, full with twists and turns, though the whole Courtney thing seemed a bit out there and I still find it confusing.

But the two books following that...

I liked this book and I will continue to read the series. But part of me just wants it to end, and that's not the best sign. But it's also addicting because I feel like I can't just stop reading. I need to fi...more

Emily, Aria, Hanna, and Spencer are still being haunted by A and they have no idea who it is! They are becoming frightened and paranoid by A who knows what they did at Spring Break. These four girls are no longer the innocent girls they once were in the first book of the series. Now they have all committed things that if it gets out they may be in serious trouble.

One message of this book is that everybody has a secret that they don't want to be revealed. Each of the characters in this story all...more

I chose this book to do my Goodreads because I have read al the books in this series and what to know who A would end up to be. "Kelsey is A!", Spencer was sure of it but it turned out she was wrong, even though Spencer had planted the drugs on Kelsey and ruined Kelsey's future, Kelsey was never A. A is a new stalker, Emily knows is exactly who it is but she won't have the guts to admit to her friends that Ali is alive because she left the door open for her to be able to get out. My favorite quo...more

The title of Sara Shepard's 10th Pretty Little Liars book is Ruthless--and wow, are they ever!! Aria, Emily, Hanna, Spencer, A and a few other people have their claws out for this one!

As I noted in my review for Twisted, the Pretty Little Liars series is getting darker. The girls have moved from innocent mistakes and embarrassing scenarios to murder and false incrimination. And they still haven't learned to keep their mouths shut (Hanna, I'm looking at you) or who to trust (Emily, Aria...) or to...more

(a few small spoilers to follow)

Overall, this was another extraordinarily suspenseful and enjoyable PLL novel, with a prickly and unpredictable new foil (Kelsey) and yet another slip into insanity for Spencer.

Emily, as always, is tormented relentlessly throughout the story - the other girls are intermittently granted brief bits of happiness with their boyfriends, but Em's trouble with the laydays seems to know no end.

After everything she's been through, Hanna still hasn't learned that divulgin...more

Sara Shepard really knows how to make a simple idea work, and turn it in to something sensational. I have never read another series that has so many twists and turns!. I have went over them all, several times, and the character's personalities are so different it's like reading 4 different books all in one!.

And I absolutely love it!. There have been endless times where I stop the book abruptly to say to myself, "Wow I did not see that one coming!!" Of course you didn't see it coming, it's Sara f...more

First of all I must state that this book series used to serve as mindless entertainment, but I think this shall be my last read. Spoilers ahead.
Pros: You have the opportunity to see where the tv series could possibly go, if they so choice to incorporate it into the show.
Highlights:Emily is pregnant but it seems that no one notices, and the timing of her pregnancy is completely off. She has a new girl crush...maybe it's A??
Aria: Not too many complaints with her character in this book. You find ou...more
