This is a sweet little book about a guy whose daughter sends spam to the entire PTA looking for a date for her dad. He's a widower and the daughter wants a mom. The heroine is the interim elementary school principal, up for the principal's job, who has to deal with the fallout. Nobody's really a "bad guy," but there is an overachieving PTA mom who tries to cause trouble for the heroine--like she's supposed to be a nun or something--but she's not really Evil. Just a pain. Mark Hathaway gets called into the principal’s office when his six-year-old daughter, Vicki, sends an e-mail to everyone on the PTA mailing list asking for a new mommy. Fortunately for him, the principal, Shay Morgan, is just the valentine he needs. Now, he has to convince her that going out with him won’t keep her from getting the principal job she’s always wanted while revitalizing sales at his outdoor equipment store and, oh yeah, spending more time with his daughter. Can he convince Principa ...more

Recommends it for: everyone
I like this author, she is on my favorite list. I especially like the fact that, she talks about subjects that peoples can relate too. Like the duties of a principal. How much they are scrutinized. I also like the fact that the author doesn't go into detail about illnesses. Especially cancer. In my opinion when you go into details about illnesses in a romance novels, it takes some of enjoyment out of reading the book.

Vicki is the only 1 in her class without a Mom. She wants one so bad, that was her request from Santa. But that didn't work. So with a little friend, sends out an email asking for a Mom.

Cute story. Amazing how a small child can make such a difference in a family.

" I really enjoyed this book. It is a sweet and funny Valentine romance and the problems are dealt with realistically." From a review posted by an member, to read more go here.

A well-written addition to the Fatherhood series.. not only do dads have to provide food and shelter but getting involved in other activities with their kids really does improve things. The story of Mark's romance with Shay blooming along with it was so natural.
