Witches of the Atlantic World is an anthology that includes both primary documents and scholarly interpretations. Reading the primary historical documents gave insight into the time period, place, language, and culture while the scholarly interpretations offered various perspectives to further consider. Great historical reader! Some of this is a little dated, but generally really good stuff. Also, I'd like to note this is NOT by Olivier Roy, but Elaine Breslaw. Not sure how that got mixed up.
