They've been mentioned one or two times, but that was it. I guess it doesn't help that the setting is not in their hometown Hawken's Cove.

The thing about sequels or spin-offs of any book series is, the characters in the sequel are often introduced in the first book. They get an almost equal amount of exposure as the main characters. But in the sequel, the main characters from the first book don't even get a chapter's worth of updates.(less)

One thing you can always expect from a Carly Phillips book is that it'll be a light-hearted, sweet, sexy romance. Sealed With A Kiss definitely follows along that line. Though I do have to say that this book is a little more angsty in the beginning, and a little more emotionally deep than many of her other books.

If you plan to read this book, I'd highly recommend reading Phillips' book Cross My Heart first, as the two are connected. Not plot-wise, but character wise. Readers first

Review by Jen:
Sealed with a Kiss is Carly Phillips' follow up to one of my favorite books of 2006, Cross My Heart. Each book stands alone, but as usual it probably makes a lot more sense if you read them in order since the main characters have parts in both stories.

Molly has a budding career and a great boyfriend, Hunter, but what she wants most is a family. So, when she discovers her real father, she leaves everything-and everyone-behind. A year later, Hunter is still not over Molly. She shows

I really liked this book, but I think it helped that most of the story was included in the first book of the series. In this book, it went straight to the point. Since the history was already there, there was no need to repeat it. This one was fun, sad, funny and charming. I really like Molly and Hunter. Great team with a great supporting cast that didn't overwhelm the main charcters. Thanks for another great read!

As predicted in my review of Cross my Heart, Sealed with a Kiss was WAY more entertaining and believable. Both Hunter and Molly's story were well developed and did not seem so far-fetched to me. But that's just my opinion.....

If i haven't read the first book (Ty and Lacey's story in Cross My heart) or it wasn't still fresh on my mind, i would have probably rated this book higher. But with the previous book's lead-in and its characters' charm and likability, it made rooting for Hunter and Molly a little challenging.

Hunter, like it says in the book, is a natural charmer, and i liked him even in the first book. Molly, on the other hand, can get on someone's nerves. If it weren't for her endearing family, and yes, that

Molly Gifford is our heroine. She’s a strong, witty gal who can’t seem to settle down with anyone until she finds a place to call her own. I don’t blame her. Growing up with a mother who went from boyfriend to husband, trying with all her might to latch on to men who would keep her in the elegant, lavish lifestyle that she was used to, she had very little time for Molly growing up.

But good news arrives when Molly finds out that her real father is a retired Army man living in small-town Connecti
I liked it a little better than the previous one.
What I liked is that the previous one showed the first steps into a relationship between Molly and Hunter (which I liked more than the main characters'love story); Molly blew it all at the end.
This one starts a few months after.
I really liked the difficulties both characters encounter when starting to deal with each other again. I believed in the relationship between Molly and Jessie, her new-found half-sister. I also liked the "investigation" (li

I totally enjoyed this read. I had no clue who done it up until right before it was revealed. I kept going back & forth between the cast of characters that were available. The dynamics of how Carly works her characters is so good. She really brings them to life on paper. I know it is write for its hot & spice love scenes which makes you fan yourself I have to say. But this can stand alone without all that also of you wanted to skip this graphic parts. The emotional family dynamics grabs.

Keberadaan keluarga baru Molly memberikan warna dalam cerita in

Nope, not my cup of tea. I am seriously asking myself why I even bother to get any of Carly Phillips' books lately since she basically just writes crap lately. This is no exception!

The story is practically non-existent, and even if it was it is ridiculous. You're wondering from the start what it is with these people. Gosh, just get it on and shut the fuck up. I was this close to scream at them. Really. During the whole book you don't see any change at all. Of course in the end, everything is fin

I liked this book more than I thought I would. I really only read it because it was the follow-up to the first book. I feel this is the story the author really wanted to write, as in the first book, Hunter and Molly seemed to take over the story from Ty and Lacey. Despite that, I did enjoy Hunter and Molly’s story. I do wish Ty and Lacey could have been in it more. Ty could have done a lot more of his PI work to help Hunter in my opinion. I was kind of let down by the epilogue. Not that I didn’t ...more

The first third of this book started out great and I was really into it. Then somewhere along the way Ms. Phillips decided to kick up the schmaltz levels making this book a little too whiny and cheesy for my tastes. Hunter and Molly have all these childhood issues that are constant road blocks on the road to happily ever after. I just wanted to shake the both of them and yell "GET OVER IT ALREADY!"

Sealed with a Kiss is not quite the Carly book I have come to enjoy and it's definitely a disappoi

I do agree with the sales clerk, Carly Phillips did hit the spot, but I found although the story was good, it was a little too sweet for my taste. I enjoyed the characters, and their extended "family", but I wanted a little more grit, I wanted the characters to be a little more dimensional.

Come on now, they were dealing with a serious problem, but it seemed that they had everything figured out very quickly and don't get me started on on how quick Molly and Hunter got together, considering on th

This author needs an editor! She wants to tell me everything the two main characters is thinking (are thinking?), and analyze every thought and action. Too much angst! Also way too much sex. Well, I should say too many details about the sex. I don't want to know!

I had to finish the story to see the details of the murder. Of course, our guy was wrongly accused, and had to be found innocent. But I do not need to read anything by Carly Phillips again. I could name you twenty or forty authors with s

After leaving Hunter behind to find her family roots, Molly finds herself in need of his legal services when her new-found father is accused of murdering his business partner.

A sharp downturn, at least in my opinion, from the previous book. While Lilly and Ty had a sweet story, this one was founded on two messed-up people whose issues are raw and ugly. I was so annoyed with Molly through most of the book, and at times I didn't want this story to end up happily ever after, because I thought Hunte

I couldn’t exactly say why I loved this book other than I just did. The characters seemed down to earth, obviously making mistake but reasonable ones. There was a central plot, but with this book being the second novel, it lightly touched on the first novel just to reintroduce characters and relationships. I haven’t read the first book, but I still greatly enjoyed this one without any confusion. There was romance, mystery and growth within the characters making it a well rounded novel.

I have always loved Carly Phillips books...this was such a fun, causal, HOT read. Sometimes I felt like i was watching a soft porn on Skinamax because I could have cared less about the storyline. Someone said there was too much sex in this book? Shoot, there wasn't enough sex if you ask me. I happened to love the narrator for this audio book. She was funny and had a great voice for all the characters. I laughed out loud several times.

This was a good book... I would say not the best of CP's but still very good. The two main characters (Hunter and molly) are a little too whiny for me... Yes they had a hard life but how many times can we be reminded of it? And there was not enough of the Commander in the book who sounds like she would have been a hoot given more of a chance. That being said CP can not write a bad book so it's worth reading just don't make it the first book of hers you ever read because she does get better!!!

Predictable throughout, but a cute story and romantic plot.
Molly goes in search of her real father only to have him get arrested for murder as she begins to get to know him. Story is about Molly's attempt to get her ex-boyfriend and friend Hunter on her father's case. Side-plots include interpersonal relationship issues with Molly and her younger half-sister, Molly's father and his potential significant other, etc.

Sequel to Cross MY Heart
Daniel Hunter & Molly
He's become an attorney and met her in law school. She finds her real dad and meets her family and tries to find love. She turns to Daniel when her father is charged with murdering his business partner. Both are very hard-headed and deny their feelings for a LONG time and this reader was very frustrated by it.
Great read. I really enjoyed this. Sealed with a kiss has a great blend of drama and romance. When I'm in the mood for something that doesn't make me think too much then I really enjoy Carly Phillips.

Molly's road to discovering herself and her worth was wrought with emotion. The relationship between Molly and Hunter was frustrating as well as HOT HOT HOT!!

This book is a follow on to "Cross My Heart" and allows a more in depth reading to the original lives and relationship of Molly and Hunter. It's a fun read with interesting turns and an interesting plot. The book tells many stories simultaniously which leads to an interesting story line. I could not put it down.

Was a nice little easy to read romance. I didn't realize this was book 2 & had no problem following the story. But was halfway through when I had learned there was a lead in & I would have preferred reading it first since I did enjoy this one. No sense reading it now because the ending would be spoiled.
