I have never read books by indie authors before and so was a bit nervous about giving this book a try. I was more concerned about possibly wasting my time than I was about spending money on it. firstly - glad i saw the OTHER cover for this book! the one above is completely misleading. makes it look like some old school harlequin. it isn't. it borders on chick-lit, but with enough interesting stuff thrown in, i liked it anyway.
there is an element of suspense, that in my opinion does absolutely NOTHING for the story. the plot would have moved nicely along with only the h/h's differences (literary snob, sci-fi author) and secondary characters of family. but hey, whatever.

3.5* I thought the story didn't develop quite as well as a couple of Fisher's novellas, but overall this was a fun read. I like Fisher's non-alpha males. They're sexy without being neanderthal. Geeks rule. ;-)
