Arthur Penn had the sort of career that would be impossible today, moving back and forth between theater, television and movies, with landmark productions in each field. He directed "The Miracle Worker" in all three mediums, and his career spanned from early live television to made for cable originals. Along the way he also changed American filmmaking with "Bonnie and Clyde" and made one of the great revisionist westerns in "Little Big Man." Overall I just found this to be a bit dry. There wasn't any meat. I would have liked more personal background, instead of just technical information.
