Very theoretical and heavy reading for the community college student. Great resources for student and faculty. The make it personal questions are awesome.
I bought this book for my Freshmen Seminar course in college. I did not find it helpful in the least, and I only ended up reading the first chapter. I don't even know why they made us buy this book. This book was extremely boring and very hard to get through, I was not at all impressed.

*Taken from my book reviews blog:
If you are looking for ideas on how to succeed in college, this book is a good start. It is a good overview of basic elements that contribute to effective studying in a college environment (which can be very different from the high school environment). This book can be used as a jumping off point to find more specific strategies that work for you.
Another goody I get to read for the Intro class I'm conducting in the fall.
