I picked this up because of the Moai on the cover. I like how the mysteries are presented. A few bits about the mystery. What historians have done to figure it all out. And the facts and fiction of what we know or don't know. Plus lots of pictures. I think a few reluctant readers who are interested in these type of things would enjoy the "pick up and read the interesting bits then put it down" way it is all presented.

An interesting book if you have young readers who are interested in learning about the past and what is true or not. The author provides nice photographs and illustrations to entertain and educate along the way. Covering subjects from King Arthur to Easter Island, the book does a nice job of covering if things happened or not and asks if you can help solve the remaining mysteries.
