Loved this book! Some introductory text books can be too technical, others can be far too simple... this text strikes a wonderful balance and addresses the major themes of Foucault's works. I found the chapters on Knowledge and Power structures to be incredible... revealing ways in which to assess one's place within a society. I was particularly taken by the content on "Care of Self"... exploring ways in which we might truly assess our lives in alternative ways. For example, we can take much ...more
