I have no idea how Terry Spear keeps her werewolf stories fresh and exciting, but she does book after book and she does it well. Her characters are always strong, and she’s true to those characters whether in their human or wolf form. Details, big or small, are never redundant from story to story, nor are the storylines. Each featured couple receives their own unique tale, including a mystery designed just for them. This series has been consistently one of the best, never letting me down from th

Though Dreaming of the Wolf is the eighth book in Terry Spear’s werewolf series, the romance between Jake and Alicia does stand on its own, introducing those of us who haven’t read the previous books to the world as Alicia finds herself drawn deeper in, and we are able to latch on to the comforting familiarity of sexual tension and desire to keep us grounded. The relationship between our hero and heroine progresses physically with surprising rapidity however, and despite our ability to recognize

This book has EVERYTHING!!!
No joke, there are Mob bosses, murders, wolves, and best of all LOVE. We start out meeting Alicia Greiston who had had the misfortunate of getting herself wrapped up in a crime spree; as a bounty hunter she’s been given a case that is more personal than professional. She’s hunting her mother’s killers, which given her track record, should have been easy, except they’re on to her, and they want her as bad as she wants them!

I got lucky to read Terry Spear's Dreaming of the Wolf early! Once again Terry exceeds expactions. Dreaming is part of a series centered around a town of werewolfs, Silver Town, Co. This one is Jake's story.
From the very begining Dreaming grabs your attention and does not let go till the very last page! The characters are diverse and interesting. The more you read the more you want to get to know these believable and realistic characters. Even if some of them do get furry now and a More...

“The Heart of the Wolf” is the eighth book in an ongoing werewolf saga by Terry Spear. The good news is it can be read completely as a stand-alone. The various pack and family members make an appearance but you don’t have to know them to understand what’s going on. So, good for you if you’ve read previous books and have a particular fondness for some of the heroes, and good for you if you haven’t. The bad news is, well…

First of all I just have to say that this is my first Terry Spears book. I know, it's a bit strange that I would start with book #8 in a series. I am happy to say that these books do NOT need to be read in order :) They are great stand alone books!
Dreaming of the Wolf was a fantastic read!! Alicia Greiston is a bounty hunter who wants to make sure justice is served and her mothers murderers are put behind bars for good! While she realizes that she is dealing with members of the mob, she ju More...

Dreaming of the Wolf is the 8th book in Terry Spear’s Wolf Series and I find myself running out of words to describe just how fantastic these books are; Dreaming of the Wolf is no exception. From the first few pages, it was non-stop action. This book is a little different than the others in that the majority of the story takes place away from the pack. This book can be read as a stand-alone and while some of my favorite characters from the other books do show up, you won’t be lost in the story i

*sigh* A man, an alpha male, a werewolf. Could it get any better? For years and years I was team vampire, there was nothing else of any importance. However, I think the tides are turning and I am team werewolf. How could you not be? I have yet to read a story about a werewolf that is some wimpy little cowardly pup. No way. They are these big hulking alpha male men, ready to defend and protect their women and their pack at all costs. *swoon*

Alicia Greiston is a bounty hunter. She's working a big case, trying to bring in two hardened mob criminals. This case is personal, they killed her mother and Alicia is determined to put them away. They'll stop at nothing though, and after a threat to Jake, the gorgeous guy she's falling for, she's got to go into hiding to protect him.

Given the hungry appetites of paranormal readers for werewolves, I decided to jump into the action with Terry Spear's DREAMING OF THE WOLF. Spear delivers a determined heroine to whom I can relate in her effort to bring a mob to justice. Add a hunky hero whose protection leads to passion. The final result is an action packed, suspense filled story that satisfied me. I emphasize that I have little knowledge of the werewolf genre yet Spear brought me into the pack with her page turning plot

I think I have been reading this series from the beginning- I know I read the book where Spear introduced the Silver brothers, I think it was in book two, Destiny of the Wolf. I must say I'm glad she has revisited these characters.
I love how much detail Spear puts into pack dynamics and wolf personalities.
The last couple of books were a little off for me but I think she was back on track with this one.

The further the series moves along, the more the books change. I like it, but they are getting different.
This book is more of a romantic suspence with less focus on werewolves, but I also love those kind of books, so it was a great crossover! It was not as PNR as all of the other books in this series.
I was also very glad that I didn't have to wait for the end 3/4 th of the book to finally have the characters get together... It was really very quick! I was less frustrated More...

First of all I haven't read the previous books in this series, but with the exception of a few unclear details, it did not present a problem. One of the things I love about a series is the intertwining characters that move from book to book, and this novel lived up to that. We meet the brothers of Jake and many of the werewolves from their town.
I liked both the hero and heroine. I think we get more insight into Alicia's than Jake's background, this could be something given to us i More...

Visiting the town of Breakenridge to drop off some of his work, Jake sees a beautiful woman sneaking around outside and decides to follow her. Learning that Alicia Greiston is a bounty hunter seeking vengeance on a group of mobsters for the death of her mother brings out all of Jake’s protective instincts even though Alicia is only human. Dream of the Wolf by Terry Spear
This is the first book I’ve read by Terry Spear’s and it is listed as book # 8 in the series, but I had no difficulty in reading Dreaming of the Wolf. This can be read as a standalone without any problem. I actually really enjoyed this one. Probably because it went back to Darien & Lelandi, even though they were not the main characters in this story.
In this novel we deal with Jake, Darien's brother. He's strong, he's tough and he thinks he's met his match and mate in Alicia but soon finds himself mixed up in a huge scandal dealing with the police, FBI and murder.
Now Alicia's pregnant and the question is, is it his or did the man who kidnapped and drugged her? Through this nov More...

This book was beautifully done. Terry manages to take a paranormal romance and give it so much more. This book has mystery, intrigue, romance and of course, hot werewolves. I really appreciated the treatment of the wolf form dynamics. Terry Spear is well known for writing books with amazingly accurate wolf behavior and this book was no exception. The spark between Jake and Alicia is palpable from the moment they first meet. I highly recommend these books. Give them a try and you won't be

This is the 8th book in the Dreaming of the Wolf series, and the first one I have read. Each book can act as a stand alone and the author does a good job of explaining the rules of the Lupus Garou pack life, but I didn’t feel as invested in it as I probably would have if I had started with the first book.

Reasons to read this book: a hunky overprotective werewolf, a sassy kickass bounty hunter heroine, a Mob boss hellbent on making said heroine his own, a murdered mother's secret, generic Mafia type henchmen who can't get anything right, super sexy dream mating, close knit wolf pack, naked sexing in the woods, an unexpected turn of events (get it? cause wolves can turn humans? *insert "ohhhh,I understand" here).
