Was pretty disappointed. There were many situations going on, but most of them felt incomplete by the books end. It just felt fractured, even some of the characters did not feel complete. In all the other books that I have read, the ending is clear and concise. With this book there was no clear ending. It was like she typed a sentence and decided she was done.

I truly loved this book. It was full of warmth and heart. I love that the romance was like an afterthought to the story of family that always remained in the forefront. The characters were fun and easily relate-able to me on different levels. I found the end refreshing. I will be looking into reading more from Genell Dellin.

This was a DNF for me, thus no rating.

I got 109 pages in and nothing interesting was happening. This book's pace is snail-slow. I get the impression (from what I've read) that this book is more of a family drama than it is a romance. Nothing about romance had happened in those pages I read.
I liked this story overall, but the pacing was too slow for me. The characters are fun and quirky, and the developing chemistry between Meri and Caleb is done well, but I just wanted to speed the whole thing up. Maybe it's my northern sensibilities versus a very southern story...
This book started out ok, but the overwheming details turned me off. I didn't need to know every single thought Lilah had. With some good editing, the book would have had promise, in my opinion.
I thought this was a good story of family and small towns and the fraternity of friends that fight, laugh, and cry together. A little wordy in some places but all together a fun read.
This book was pretty much about Merideth and her grandmother, that's not what I want my romance books to be about.

Montana is a magical place to Genell. Late in the 1800s, Westerners called it "The Last Best Place" and to her it seems to be so still today. The enormity of the sky and the mountains, the few people with so much space and so much strength, and the land that seems to go on forever hold a powerful attraction that she loves to use for the background of her books.

Genell is also a lifelong rodeo fan.
