Doctor Simon Carter is seriously rethinking his policy of no dating fellow workers when it comes to nurse Hailey Rogers, but it just takes a memory of his previous relationship to keep him from asking her out. Quite a bit of personal drama in both protagonists' backgrounds, and fairly predictable outcome in the (surprise!) unresolved drama in the hero's background, but on the whole a pleasant read.
