Really liked this book, especially given that the two main characters were physically apart for the majority of the story. Using the mine collapse as the situation that gets Adam and Maggie talking to each other was quite clever. I liked these two characters, both were genuinely nice, and Maggie showed herself to be very resourceful. I was engaged right from the start and read this book in one sitting. Another nice addition to the Penhally Bay series.

Rating: 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars.
A very quick read - events of the story basically take place over the course of an evening and through the night, when an accident in a mine happens. There are flashbacks to previous events in the hero and heroine's relationship. On the whole, it was an interesting approach to have the story take place the way it does, but it left me feeling somewhat unsatisfied also.
